At Sunday April 12, 1981 the first Space Shuttle launch:
(when Randy was still with us)
I was just in my early teens but I followed the whole thing on tv. I was obsessed by the whole thing for weeks already. The launch originally was scheduled for Friday 10 April, and I threatened my mother that I wouldn't go to school if I couldn't watch it there.
So our teacher brought a tv in the class room
, we spend hours of watching but because of some technical problems the launch was re-scheduled to sunday 12 april.
Coincidentally exactly 20 years before, at 12 april 1961 Joeri Gagarin became the first man in space.
