Flooding in Washington State

So, my new hometown of Grand Mound, WA has made national news due to the flooding. We've had just shy of 7 inches of rain since yesterday at this time and portions of Interstate 5 (our local highway that I can see from my bedroom window) are under as much as 10 feet of water.

Paul, I hope you're doing ok. I know from first hand experience that flooding is a bitch.
Let us know if there is anything you need, or just need someone to talk to. You are in my thoughts

We're good at my house... we live on a high spot. I work at the Great Wolf Lodge about a half mile away and the flooding is more pronounced there.

Glad you are okay. That us just grand scale stuff.
I know the disaster lessens this but how cool to work at the Great Wolf Lodge being the one and only Mr Paul Wolfe!

Hey Craig, Sequim is about 3 hours north of me. We like going to the
Olympic Game Farm in Sequim once or twice a year.

7 inches of rain, that crazy
i consider myself lucky not to have ever been flooded like that, my house is on a flood plain, but the local authorities recently installed a new drain system so hopefully i'll never get hit like that.

Kind of extreme weather there!
First lots of snow, and now a 'flood'. (it's not the molten snow right?)
Hope you are oke though.

Actually yes. The record snowfall in the mountains turned to water as the temperature quickly rose when a storm front from Hawaii moved in. Two days after the rain hit, the rain stopped and the temperature dropped from 50 degrees (F) to 36 degrees (F) overnight.
Just as the flood waters have begun to recede, we are getting more rain and the river is again on the rise...
