Favorite Christmas song

Post by Paul Wolfe »

My favorite Christmas song is Springsteen's version of Santa Claus is Comin' to Town from his Winterland show in 1978... The monologue at the beginning is an important part of my Christmas each year.

My favorite is by Nat King Cole, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire. Actually, any Christmas song by him.
I grew up with Dad putting his record on in the livingroom during the Holiday season.
Better people....
Better food...
And better beer.

Off topic, but he is featured in Love Actually which Bill Nighy also stars in..

If you were to have a film where its all love and happiness, rainbows and everything you know a sort of care bear esque film.

Then put Alan Rickman (even if he aint doing ANYTHING) in one scene of that film. would it not detur the course and meaning of the film?

I am watching Love Actually right now and am on the bit where the prime minister (Hugh Grant) looks for his PA. A truly wonderful drama/comedy!

That film should have been so crapy! with a huge star cast and so many small plots, when I saw it I had no idea it would be so well written and poigniant.
I really liked the freindship between Billy Mack and his Manager and how it goes from mockery to love and respect, it was very beautiful.

Hi Ian

Yes it dealt well with all kinds of love; and like the one you mentioned especially... it dealt well with the male bond.
I like it too that after they hug he says, "lets get pissed and watch porn" LOL.

I still found Andrew Lincoln's forbidden love for Keira Knightley really heart wrenching!
