University Blues

I got no money all the time,
I wonder if I’ll make it through.
Sitting in the lecture room,
Singing university blues.

I’m a long way from home.
I’m missing my girl.
Sleeping in the halls,
It makes my toes curl.

I’m drinking with the guys,
Out in the bars every night,
Drinking Lucky Ol’ Seven.
Don’t you turn on that light.

The morning comes,
Splitting pain in my head,
Tripping over my bottles,
I should’ve stayed in bed,

I sit in the lecture room,
Listening to the tutor preach,
My head’s on the table.
Thinking my life’s a peach.

If you drum, then add a drumbeat to it maybe the guitar players can work off the beat!
