Granddad strikes again.

Post by siro_angel »

Or could it be a strange coincidence?

Remember i told you about that music box I've inherited?

Well today I was playing guitar, doodling around, and then I thought, hell, I'll try to play The Animals' House Of The Rising Sun, seeing as I haven't played it since before Granddad died, it was Granddad's favourite song.

Well, as I played the first verse, that music box, started to play again on its own accord.

Simon that will not be the first time your Grandad will be letting you know that he is still watching over you mate. That is a classic tell tale sign, i bet you just looked at it as a total coincidence but the timing was right eh! ?.Well that is how the spirit world do these little tests, they are very crafty and they don't want to alarm you in any way.I have had loads of encounters over the last 5 years since i lost my Mam & Dad. The best one is that people who come into my house keep seeing a pure brilliant white cat. My girlfriend has seen it twice and a couple of my mates have seen it aswell. But the mad thing is i haven't seen it,and don't think i ever will. The one thing that keeps happening and i have tested this, is noticing kitchen unit/ cupboard doors which i've been convinced that i have shut. When returning to the room the door is open. My bin in the kitchen has a flip top and i keep hearing it opening when i have made sure that it was closed. They are just little things which happen and you could say that they are nothing. But over time when it keeps happening its very funny and in a way its comforting to think that me Mam & Dad are keeping an eye on me..

I firmly believe that there are spirits looking out/after us. After my mom died, I'd smell her perfume in the doorway of her room every so often. I thought that after the storm when we gutted the house and re-did everything, I knew that I'd never smell her perfume again. About a month or so later, I smelled her. I felt re-assured that she approved of what we had done with the house.

I was cleaning out Abby's room before we got her furniture delivered last year, I happened to look down at my feet, as I thought a roach or something crawled on my foot. Nothing was crawling, but on the floor, was a 45 record of Ringo Starr's "You're Sixteen", and a baptismal candle from when my first daughter was baptised. The day happened to be what would have been her 16th birthday.

Coincidence? I don't think so.

Hi Simon

It is quite remarkable.

Will you try playing the animals a number of times over the coming weeks and see what happens?

My head is still full of the skeptism of Derren Brown the illusionist who would love our religious thread as he debunks so much...but like Gina says coincidence...I think not too.

I found Shaun and Gina's stories very, very interesting too!

I believe in nothing but these stories are very comforting and as I can't prove anything one way or the other they feel very warm and comforting. Gina, that must have felt very nice and took you to a very happy place.

Simon,

Something IDENTICAL to this happened to me just the other day. Also involving a music box! I collect little faeries (figurines, boxes, etc...) and i have them on a shelf that runs down my hallway from the family room to the bedrooms, with all kinds of fake folliage and vines draped across the shelves... looks like a little faerie forest. lol.

Anyway. last week i could have SWORN i heard someone walking down the hallway (i have wooden floors in my house, no carpet), but i knew my kids werent home and there should not have been anyone in my house. So, i walked out from my dining room into my family room so i can kind of peek down the hallway, and JUST as i looked around I could have SWORN i saw just the very back of someone as they walked into my bedroom from the hallway. it was just a glimpse... one of those "saw something moving in my peripherial vision" type things... but I nearly ran out of the house, i was so convinced someone was in there.

But, oddly, the dog wasnt barking. and she ALWAYS barks at people. So I mustered up some courage and crept up the hallway to my room, and peeked around the door frame into my room, and no one as there. I said, out loud "hmm. that's odd" and just, JUST as i said that, the music box on the shelf right next to me started playing "when you wish upon a star" - i just stood there frozen and stared at it until it slowed down to a complete stop.

it was weird to say the least.

Sounds it HP!

When my music box worked for the first time it freaked me out cos it didnt work after granddads death, till these spooky cases happening.

We've had a fair few spooky encounters since granddad died, it's comforting to know he's there but at the same time tad concerning lol
