Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

Well Trigger,

I work in the Firearms industry. I respect that you hate guns, I used to too. But since working in this industry, I realized that Guns DO NOT KILL PEOPLE. FUCKING IDIOT PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE!!

Just my opinion mind you.

Sorry to hear that Finland is getting more Americanized in such a bad way, Alex. Those kind of things used to be primarily (tho not exclusively) American.

Wanna shoot either you or me

Its a Saturday night special
Got a barrel that's blue and cold
Aint no good for nothing
But put a man six feet in a hole

I think you are essentially correct, but guns make it a LOT easier for people to kill people. You'd never have a mass school stabbing where 9 students die.
My Dad has lots of guns, but they are mainly for show. I don't even think most of them are loaded.

*nods*

my dad was a cop, killed in the line of duty. I have his guns, but they are all unloaded and locked up. My kids would NEVER be able to get their hands on them, and I tell you what, there's some parenting issues going on with some of those kids, too, cuz my kids would never WANT to get their hands on them, ya know? they fully understand and appreciate the power of a gun and how easy an accident can happen.

I don't think guns should ever be banned totally, but there needs to be some restrictions...the fact that Cho (the guy who shot up VT a few summers ago) was able to get a gun(s) and he wasn't even a real citizen...JEEZ!
Talk about effed up. I thought that campus POLICE (being the operative word) would have meant that one of them would have at least had a pistol on them. Imagine how many kids would have lived in there was just one campus police officer with a gun.

true. but how do you put restrictions on the black market, so to speak.

i totally agree on the campus police thing... they should have actual POLICE on campus and not just students with a workstudy job.

Did Cho get his guns on the black market? I thought he actually bought them legally, etc. No matter though, you are right. Outlawing something like that will only make the market for it worse, sort of like drugs.
I remember that Amish shooting, what was really shocking was how the Amish reacted. But I suppose it's not that shocking, as they are Amish...but they forgave that guy. That prayed for his soul! Talk about turning the other cheek. I'd have a hard time turning the other cheek if someone shot my 7 year old to death.

Well, if the government takes away guns then they take away my living as well as thousands and thousands of others. Still, Guns are not bad, people are bad. Make no two doubts about it.

the bottom line is thatwe live in a country where we have the right to bear arms. and the sacrifice for that kind of freedom, i guess, is dealing with the whackjobs. even if you took guns out of the picture, murderous people are still going to commit murder. i agree with you, though, nicole, that the body count may be lower because they wouldnt be able to pick off so many people in such a short period of time...

but even though, any idiot that knows how to use google can build a bomb using simple items you can run down to wal-mart and purchase. i guess my point is, if someone has that intention, they're going to find a way to carry it out. some people just ain't right. lol.
