The Blues Journey That Changed My LIfe :P

Post by siro_angel »

Well as you heard, my luggage was lost on the way to Matt and Suzie's, so I started out with everything, lost it all, and now on the rise again... what do I mean by rise again?

Blues Jam (I feel so tempted to call it Underpants Blues  ) - Matt and me

Another blues jam, with me, Matt, and the two Nicks!

You Got Me Running played by Matt, Suzie, Me and the two Nicks

Back Door Man, played by Matt, me and the Two Nicks!

Waves Of Dreams, remember this ol' chestnut? Matt turned it into a brilliant duet!

I didn't know the blues jam songs (Back Door Man and You Got Me Running) but when i was told to play in the key, I did my best and that was the result, I must say I'm impressed at myself. :D

I have enjoyed myself both at the society and being with Matt, Suzie and Mama! :D :D :D

Matt, Suzie and Mama are very friendly, and are a fantastic laugh in person, and they introduced me to phillipino peppers mmmm YUM! but HOT

I hope to see them again :) the bad luck I had with buses won't put me off :P

and hey, lead thy way to the guild ;)

Simon

P.S Mega thanks to Rick for uploading these videos for me, as I couldn't upload them to google for some reason >_<

Hmm that first track sounds so similar to Black Jean Blues on the RRCD Project...Frank your pants have been shared!! LOL

It was a great fun night Simon. Well done for just being put on the spot and delivering.

The nervous guy standing if anyone watches that far :) is Nick a great blues harmonica player!!

With recording and cut and paste and people afraid to deliver less than clinical perfection these days it is great to stick and finger up to it and just jam- warts and all!!!

It looks as if you had an amazing time Simon, I think that Matt is perfect at showing how different kinds of music can be interesting.
Do you think this will filter through to the music you write in future?

I think blues is my way forward, it's relaxed and emotional :)

unfortunatly, when it comes to blues playing for me, I prefer to play with at least one person, because while i'm practicing it alone, it doesnt feel the same without having the others behind you. :|

I understand that, when you play together you can bounce ideas around.
