Ultimate Rhoads

Hey everyone!

I know I just got here and I'm pretty new to the site. But I will be leaving for a week (my vacation) to go to Spandahlem, Germany to perform in the U.S. Airforce Youth Talent Show. It's like the finals I guess, I won 2nd place at my base here in Italy. I'm dedicating my show to every musician that influenced me including Mr. Rhoads. I'm going to be playing a song I wrote called Southern Blues on my Resonator guitar tuned to G with a capo on the 2nd. Wish me luck, I leave tomarrow morning! I have a video of my first performance if anyone is interested. My band left me right before the show so I had to improvise on the song except the intro i knew. I improvised and changed the song so it would entertain the audience a little bit more because without drums, the original would have been a tad boring.

Gonna record it when you get home? Like High Noon Dobro. I still liek that one

Definatly. I will try and get on a computer when I am over there. I will record the song when I get back. I've been looking into harmonica. I really want a singer, but I can't sing or find one. For my recordings, I might just do a harmonica lead until I get back to the states for university.

Sorry for the long time I didn't reply, I had a lot of school work to do. You all understand. Anyways...

I won 2nd place at regionals and my friend took first place. I also won the Judges most original award. I will post the video later on! : )

School is not going so great sadly...My girlfriend left me....I am really sick.....but I won a talent show for my music, so I am pretty happy. Other then that, I don't know if I will be around the site for a little while...I have found myself...well doing nothing more then usual. I guess I'm living the life of a blues song. Well... See you guys around and thank you so much for everything.

I got discouraged from talking about my stuff on forums because of what rr.tk did to me. Everyone made stuff worse. They kept telling me the worst case scenarios which I knew and reading it made me feel even worse.

I just don't know you guys, I love my music and thats all I want to do. I mean wow, what would be better then playing music for a living. I idolize any musician who does that. It means the world to me, but I have cancer and my life is going to total ****. I hope the cancer goes away, i still need to go to another doctor. I just want to play my guitar, its all that makes me happy.

I promise you you can post things at this site and you wont be mocked for them. We are very different to that other site. We will also support you through your difficult times, this is a site of friends and we care about each other.
