Some views of Atlanta as I was leavng this morning.

It was kinda spur of the moment thing.

dont you just wish planes would stay below cloud level so you could see the landscape.

rice, I was moving my "sister" from here in the New Orleans area to the Atlana area. her husband had driven there early Saturday morning, was to fly back here this morning, and drive again. He wasn't feeling too well to begin with, and driving 8 hours, resting for a few hours and driving 8 hours again wouldn't have been a good idea. So, a got a wild hair, drove her, and flew back.
I had fun driving at night. I wish I had taken pictures of Downtown Atlanta, but I was driving. Like that stopped me in California.

Here are some pictures as I was landing in New Orleans. The airport is actually located in Kenner, LA. It is owned by the City of New Orleans. Weird.

This is The Causeway Bridge going over Lake Ponchartrain:

Once you see that you are flying over the lake, you know that in about 5 minutes you will be landing.

We are flying over Slidell, LA. Look at the different waterways:

I thought this was neat.

And, yes I was seated with the engine right next to me...again.

No, I didn't get a chance to meet up with Darin, but I did phone him while I was at the airport. Hopefully, I will be able to get back soon.
