I just wanted to let all the guitar players know that the September 2007 Guitar World has the best lesson I've seen in a magazine in a long time.

The lesson by Paul Gilbert is excellent. The rhythm section of the lesson was more helpful to me than all the lessons in the last year combined.

Can you go into a bit more detail why? Thanks. I missed out on a clinic he did here not long back.

It's more the video on the CD than the magazine article, but if you click on the link in my previous post you'll see what I mean about the rhythm thing.

He also explains some cool ideas for tapping through a minor scale and how to run a lick through three octaves by repeating it. It sounds simple, but when you see him actually doing it, it sounds so impressive.

That's what I like about Paul Gilbert, he can make the simplest idea seem so incredible.

That is a cool lesson. It is really cool how he plays that. Thanks for the link.
