Ok, enough of my bodily functions......
Found out that my dishwasher is NOT anchored or mounted securely under the countertop. I was just checking it out when it almost toppled over. The gas lines had an air pocket or bubble in it, and the lines needed to be bled, as they have not been in use for almost 2 years. I'm so happy that I do not have to go to the laundrymat to do my laundry!!!!!!
I've been pitching crap out that I really don't need, and my body is going into shock with the movements. I know I'm going to pay for it soon. On a bright note, I found my Diary of a Madman album. The cover and sleeve are shit, but the album is ok. Now, to find a record player.....

OK,
The novelty got old. Quick.
The washer & drier are wonderful! And for some strange reason, clothes that I've not seen before or in quite a long time, are starting to appear. Not mine or Mike's clothes, mind you, but my daughters! I think I'm gonna have to limit the amount of clothes they wear in a day!
Just waiting for the A/C guy to come out and look at it. Looks like I'll have to blow up at Mike to get him to call the guy...AGAIN

Hey all
Well, the A/C guy finally came by, and now our house ha air conditioning! YAY!
We went and bought our sofa and dining room set. They were out of stock of the sofa, so it'll be about 4-6 weeks before it comes in. It could be sooner. The diningroom set will be delivered tomorrow, so, as soon as it's delivered, I'll post up pics of how lovely it looks!

A friend of mine emailed me these pictures. I've never seen these before.
This is one of 3 shopping malls within a 10 mile radius. It is about 3 miles away from me:

Ironically, this street is named Canal Street: (in Downtown New Orleans)

This one is named Canal Blvd., also in New Orleans:

This intersection is less than a mile away from my house, Kawannee & Clearview Pkwy:

Also, less than a mile away, Veterans Blvd & Clearview Pkwy:

It's getting there. Some of the worst hit areas, like the Lower 9th Ward (which was the most "videoed" area), is slowly getting started. Lower parts of Louisiana, such as Chalmette, they have about 1/3 of the business and residences back. Some people are afraid to go back, for fear it will happen again. Don't blame them.
Other parts of the city are rebuilding, while others just don't care anymore, and just not coming back.

OK.
I got screwed up the ass again!!!!!!!
Didn't get the diningroom furniture delivered today. Seems as though they re-scheduled it for August 10. The chairs they had, but the table was scuffed up.
Called them around 3pm to see where on the delivery route we were. That's when we found out about the "re-schedule". I told them that a phone call would have been nice, so that we could have done other things other than waiting around like f*&king idiots. I knew it was too good to be true.
I'm going to crawl in my hole, and hope that when I'm done hibernating, I'll have everything done. :(

Ok, in a some what better mood. Abby's bed will be delivered August 11th, and out bed will be on the 10th. We just got the bed frame, head and footboards. We can get the dresser from the outlet store, and the mattress from a place that just sells mattresses for a lot less than $600.00.

Yeah, Manco, eventually it will come to an end. Either I get back into my house soon, or I blow the thing up, because it got ruined again with another hurricane....but I'm crossing my fingers and toes that doesn't happen anytime soon.(the hurricane part)

Ian, I think that if I do toss in the towel, Frank's hoping that I move in with him...
On the same note, Mike and I have discussed what would we do if this happened again.
I'm torn. I do not want to go through the whole process again, even though I've lived in my house all of my life. Mike's family and friends are here, and my friends and my daughter is buried here. My children have friends here.
Although, we can always make new friends, and still keep our old friends.
He said that we could move to Florida, and we'd be close to my sister.
That's option 1.

Option 2: I'd like to move to upstate New York, the Adironiaks. My parents were from there, and the only relative that I have there is my uncle, aunt, cousin and his family. Drawback for me is that I can not sleep without "street" noise. I'm used to hearing the cars pass down the street all the time, and background noises the the highway.

Option 3: I'd like to move to California. Always wanted to live there ever since I was a little kid. When I went in March, I loved it, even if it was for a couple of days. Drawback is Mike doesn't want to live there, for what reason, I don't know.

I believe that where ever you live, there is bound to be some sort of problems. Be it snowstorms, tornadoes, earthquakes, riverflooding, drought, hurricanes, whatever. You just have to deal with it and move on.
