Contractor put in the toilets yesterday, and said that the vanity sinks work. He will be back Tuesday to finish with the water heater, and put in the range, as he had the wrong shut off valve for it. We also have to get the ice maker line for the fridge. Maybe I'll be in for my birthday.

Hi sarab good to see the house coming on but not for the lightning speed of those contractors..EH!!!..You must be being too good to them stop making them cherry pie and cups of coffee, Crack that wip and show them you mean business..Don't forget mind when you make that birthday cake, make it extra large as it'll need the area for all those candles...If you are having difficulties blowing them out see fozzy he works for the fire department he may be able to give you a few tips on how to put the fire out ...without destroying the cake ...HA!! Oh ...

HAHAHA.
Thanks for offering up Fozzy, but Sarah's godfather works for the Fire Dept, so I'll have him on hand. No plans for my up-coming demise of the 19th anniversary of my 21st birthday.
As for the contractor, no comments. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
Maybe I'll have pictures to post of the appliances in their proper place!

Well, my display cases came in today, and I had a neighbor help me bring them into the house.
Contractor has not shown up since Saturday. Got into an accident on the way to my house. He had to buy a new vehicle. I bet that's gonna cost me!
Let's see what this weekend will bring.

Lets see. It was 9 days since the guy's accident, and he showed up on Saturday, all for about 4 hours. It took him and his assistant 4 HOURS to install:

water heater:

dishwasher:

stove with exhaust hood:

OK. When he first put in the stove, it stuck out a good 10 inches away from the from the counter top. He cut a hole behind the stove so that he could drop the gas line down, and the stove would push back further. Now it is about an inch from being flush with the counter top, and it can not go back any further. I can live with that. What he forgot to do, is CUT a hole in the top of the cabinets for the exhaust fan. The air has no where to go!!! JUST BRILLIANT...

NOW.........
I need to have the Gas company to come and see why we are not getting gas thru the lines. They will be here Monday.
The contractor is going to bring his trailer that he uses to haul off trash so that I can throw out more shit. The A/C guy will be here Tuesday or Thursday to make sure that it works properly. If there's no A/C, no way am I gonna start living in there! It gets hotter that hell here, and even with ceiling fans, it still is hot.
I'll be in my home soon!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
