Thanks Alex for asking about kitty. She's doing as well as can be expected. I have her on three meds,(antibiotic, potassium) including a thyroid med, which the vet was nice to have made at a compound pharmacy. (she'll only take liquid meds) It's still difficult to get them down her, as she absolutely hates it. But I'm still playing wait and see, and the meds are really just to make her feel comfortable. Some days they help others they don't, but she is still eating and purring, so that's not so bad. It's just so hot right now for her, and so I keep giving her baths.I had to get two of those large oil drip pans, for her bathroom as she has a difficult time stepping over a normal kitty pan. Everyone here is fine with what ever decision I make, I still have not become totally comfortable with it. I'm thinking I will wait until I feel she is really ready.
Your pup is gorgeous, and I'm glad all is well. Infections are a scary thing with pets, because they really don't know how to tell their owner until it gets bad enough to be noticeable. Is she part Doby and Rot or full. Very regal looking. It' amazing how emotional attached we all can get to our pets, some say love makes us stupid, I myself get stupid when it comes to animals. Maybe because they are so innocent. I'm sure she'll have many wonderful years with you. Think about my kitty, she wasn't supposed to make it past 2 and what now going on 24. Thanks again and Cheers!
