Just an update...
Contractor cut the hole in the cabinet for the hood exhaust fan. He also "liquid nailed" down my bathroom sinks.
Mike has to check the electrical outlets. Why the contractor couldn't do it is beyond me. He also needs to put in poles in our closet so that we can hang up our clothes(eventually). They were in there the length of the closet, but now he wants to make use of the dead space we have in there by putting the poles in width-wise. Then in the middle, we can put another dresser in there for whatever.
Better people....
Better food...
And better beer.

Do what I do, just throw the clothes in!
Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

Hey y'all.
Time for an update.
Well.....
I AM FINALLY IN MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!

HAPPY, HAPPY, JOY, JOY

Can you tell that I'm doing the happy dance?
My poor cat doesn't know what to do. She hid under my bed. Then she decided that she was going to hide under Abby's bed. That was at 8:30 this evening. It is now 10 minutes to 11:00, and she is still under her bed.
Poor thing! I think she thought we were moving to another place. Well, in a way she was, only she didn't know that it was HOME. She'll be alright in a few days when she gets used to the house again.

Anyway, thank you ALL for the support you have given me. It sure was long enough! I had thought that I would have been in my house by Halloween of last year. Unfortunately, me having appendicitis didn't help.
Time came and went, and I was telling myself when I should be in my house: Valentine's day, Easter, then ok, maybe by when the girls get out of school in the end of May, then it turned in by my 40th (eeek!), then by the time the girls started school second week of August, but DAMN!

Here we are the last day of September 2007, and I am writing this post sitting on MY bed, in MY bedroom! And what a wonderful feeling it is.
I had been trying to get Mike off his ass to help the past few weekends, but he didn't get up until 11:00 am or so, then it was to go and watch t.v., then he'd do a couple of things, then he'd be going out to the bar where he works the door on weekends. My back is crying out in pain, because of the bending and stooping. I'm exhaused! I bet y'all are too!
I know Frank is!
The house is a wreck, and I ought to have a yard sale with all of the clothes that heckle and jeckle accumulated since we have been out of the house.
We still need to buy a few lamps and a couple of end-tables. The phone/cable/internet company is coming Thursday to put in my jacks for the phones. The Directv people will be out here on Oct. 13. We can go into the trailer if we wanna watch something other than the local channels.
And, the best part is that I still can connect with the wireless in the house. YAY!
I'll start posting up some pictures as soon as I have just a tad bit of organization. Or rather, when some of the crap is out of the kitchen/den area!
Better people....
Better food...
And better beer.

I'm very happy for you and your family Gina! Can I assume a party is not far off now?
