2012?

Post by RR-ElectricAngel »

Okay I can handle an earthquake, maybe two of them occuring weeks apart. I can even say "so what" to a volcano in Iceland but come on! A meteor fireball streaking through the sky! What are we doing wrong here? Can't mother nature space them out more rather than unleashing them over a single month? Do I need a map to the mothership?!

I put this all down to nature and the fact that nature is more powerful thata we can ever imagine. I have to say I haven't really given 2012 a second thought and to go and remind myself what this subject was actually about! Life goes on and I have lived through so many different last days since my childhood and the subject reminds me of that group of Russians who went to live in the ground about two years ago and when the end of the world didn't come the armed forces had to intervien to release those who wished to leave.
Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

Personally I find it funny that the 2012 phenomenon was not a part of the American consciousness - and presumably that of the rest of the world - until shortly before the Hollywood movie was made. About a year prior, documentaries started popping up about the Mayan calendar... blah, blah, blah... why hasn't this been discussed regularly since the century began? The final 12 years for life on earth? Sounds newsworthy to me.

My question is, if the Mayans are writing out a calendar, wouldn't they have to stop writing at some point? I mean, they could have continued past 2012, but sooner or later the writing would stop and there'd be a 'last day'... Just like someday there will be a final post at UR... does that meant it'll be a prophetic post? Doubtful.

December 21st, 2012 will be a Friday. I am going out on a limb to say I'll be at work that night until 23:30, I'll drive the 3 minutes home, check on my kids, lay down next to my wife and go to sleep. Then the next morning I'll wake up waaaayyy too early in a grumpy mood when the dog wakes me so I can take him outside for his morning constitutional. Sometime later in the day it might occur to me how blessed I am to have 'survived', but most likely it'll be a day like any other and it won't occur to me until I log into UR and see everyone's comments about it.

I've read quite a lot about 2012 and all that jazz, there are many different theories of what will happen. Whats interesting is that if you cover enough ground different theories seem to interlink, even though their authors are unaware of this, or think other ideas are pure fantasy.

There are bits of evidence about, for this or that etc. But finding anything solid involves trawling through piles of steaming bulshit

In any case, i think there is a good chance something will happen in 2012 or the near future, you dont need to look to prophetic writings to hedge that bet. Probably the earths poles will switch. But i dont think we're all going to die... just maybe get irradiated
