Best Christmas

Post by Paul Wolfe »

I saw a TV commercial the other day where they did flash backs to 'the best Christmas ever' and compared it to getting a car for Christmas...

I was thinking back on Christmases past and the present I most clearly remember opening with excitement was KISS' Double Platinum when I was 12 in 1978. That opened the floodgates and made me want a guitar so I could be the next Ace Frehley.

I know there were other Christmas mornings with other presents I loved, but that one stands out the most in my mind. I listened to it over and over and over and over that day...

What one present brings back memories for you?

i dont like kiss that much...but ace feehley is pretty good.

i dont like gifts, i come from very rich stuck up neighborhood, and i feel like a rich asshole whenever i get a gift. i acctually tell people to not get me stuff. i hate gifts. in say if anyone really wants to give me somthing give me money, b/c people like my grandmother keep bugging me about gifts so im like...just give me money, b/c i know if i tell her to get me somthing, itll be expensive and retarded, so you cant go wrong with just plain old g w's, or abe's...

Ok, I'm gonna pull a "girly" one... I got the Donny & Marie dolls and their studio; Barbie's dream house; Charlie's Angels dolls;
Barbie car, etc. It was Barbie heaven (at least to me), and to my parents, it was a Barbie hell. I still have all of those Barbies and dolls up in my attic. Abby's been begging me to get them down, but she'll destroy them! Can't have Donny all messed up!
Seriously tho, I had just about every Barbie that I had asked for (from years before and never received), and then some. I guess my dad knew that he was going to be forced into early retirement, so my parents wanted me to have the best Christmas that they could give me.
My favorite Christmas (even tho this isn't the question asked, but had to include), was when we visited my grandmother for Christmas. It was truly my first White Christmas, as they lived in Upstate New York. That is my favorite Christmas.
Better people....
Better food...
And better beer.

this is a very hard question, in my younger years i have had many good christmases and i remember most of them well. Theres no best present for me, power ranger toys, bikes, its all the same to me :lol:

My most vivid memorys are of the events of the day and the time i spent with people around the holidays. I remember playing table tennis for hours on christmas eve once, and playing WWF Smackdown with my cousin on christmas day, LMAO Undertaker and Kane kicking ass :D

One of the best memorys though was a white christmas, i was only 6. I was small so the snow was up to my knees :lol: It was like being in a winter tundra, great snowball fight.
