4th of July

Post by Sarab »

Hey all. I tried to post this last night, but it was difficult to get a connection due to heavy rains, and crappy wireless.
Anyway, here are a few pics from our 4th of July celebration (celebrated on the 3rd)

We went to Mike's mom's house for the 4th. It drizzled practially all day, and we fished in the bayou across the street from her house. By the way, the storm wiped put her house, and left her with just the slab.
Anyway, here are a few highlights of the day:

Looking for something to catch:

Trying on the other side of the "dock":

My nephew was holding a crab, and it moved a tiny bit. Freaked him out and dropped the crab:

He finally got brave (after a little coaxing):

Abby, Sarah, my niece Kayla, and her little brother, Quinn:

The "twin teenagers":

Mike trying to tell me that if he gets his picture taken with a fishing pole, he'll catch more crab & fish.

For the record, it didn't help.

Mike with his little sister, Kelly and their mom:

We did have fun. I always dread going there, as it is a boring ride, then really nothing to do. The best part was watching my nephew get all excited about the fish and crabs that we caught. He was a bit pissed when we tossed them back. I hope they survived the tosing, as Abby flung them in with full force.
