The "photocopy" is basically a stolen image and the guy selling it has no right to do that. I own the original and have never given anyone permission to copy. Please do NOT buy anything from this guy. Thanks.

Hi all,

I just had a chance to read the thread over at .tk

Just to clarify:

The picture is in MY possession, and has been for several years... not sure what Peter is talking about. This photo is from my personal photo album, not Jan's - so, if Peter has a copy, it is just a copy. I have no problem with the picture being used in the film, but, definitely have a problem with it being sold on eBay. The picture was posted publicly once, with a "do not copy" written over much of it, and otherwise has not been lent out by me at anytime. If Jan had a copy, it would be news to me, but, it is not impossible that a copy was made for her at some point over the years.

This is a family photo, with Randy, my cousin and my brother - both are Jan's nephews, as am I. Randy is playing his dad's guitar. The photo was taken in the back room of a cabin in Crestline, CA. while on summer vacation in 1974 or 75. If you notice, Randy's feet are muddy from all of us going to the lake earlier that day. I have other pics with Randy from that trip as well. This picture was never approved for copy.

As far as the eBay auction, I have reported it to eBay and contacted the seller directing the auction to be closed. If anyone knows the seller, please encourage him/her to do the right thing. Seeing a personal pic of Randy sell on eBay is disgusting to me, obviously.

Regarding the fire. My brother did lose his house, but he is not the brother pictured. He did not own any Randy items as far as I am aware, and none were lost in the fire. He is fine, but having to deal with the aftermath...it's been a long few weeks.

Best Regards,
Gary

Thanks Gary for the clarification. I'm sorry to see that has happened to a precious family photo. I'm glad to hear that he is ok, and my thoughts are with him, as he
has to deal with the aftermath.
