This is some great news. We can only hope that the footage quality is right up there with the Brad/early Jake stuff from '82-'83. I'm curious to hear what shows were filmed. Plus, do ya think that maybe Sharon has been paying attention to what the core group of RR fans has been saying for all this time? Given that there's going to be some studio outtakes/etc. in there, not to mention the inclusion of Bob and Lee - these are all things that we've been wanting for a long time and have been very vocal about.

Ya know what , I definately think she's been told about the Daisley tapes of studio banter and demo recordings etc , and she's thought " hey we've got a box of that stuff somewhere , never knew there would be an interest in it " But I think overall i'm extremely happy that Bob & Lee are getting "put back " on two of the most classic albums in the history of music and hopefull the O's and Bob & Lee all bury the hatchett and not in each others heads .. to me that in itself is an awesome thing .

You know what I actually hope happens when the releases come out?
That people will jump on to the movement and start to find Randy bootlegs, footage, audio, etc. that were once considered "lost" and are found again that was sitting there collecting dust. I wonder how much advertisement will be done for the reissues and footage.

I would guess this was what was supposed to be announced in the August issue of Guitar World. Not sure why they chose to break the news now instead.
Not that it matters either way. I wonder if Jack's film is still due this year?
Whenever I put on Blizzard or Diary, what a wonderful, delicate furious beast.... I MISS you, man!

This what I have concluded...

The two shows they mention first, they are both in house 1 camera pro shot shows, this explains the tape switching and why they have to piece it together and try to make sense of it. If t was a multi camera shoot they would not need to piece it together as there would always be a camera rolling at any given time, it would also have been edited down By the venue into one continous video, the scraps would have been destroyed.

The film I am going to say is a multiple camera pro shot. Film means a finished product of some sorts. One of these venues had a multincamera setup and did it hopefully. No way were any of these shows a planned shooting and we should all be able to agree on that since everyone associated with the band has said that(even th roady guys story of a pro shot show does not mean he meant it was planned, just house cameras)

I am thinking there are two blizzard shows and diary being the filmed show. Either Beaumont tx or new years eve 1981.
Alright sorry for any typos or whatnot I'm on my phone :)

]I wonder if we'll have to wait on the day the footage is in the stores to know what the concert dates are? It's alright either way but it would be cool to know. I guess they are waiting on everything being ready to go before official advertisements are put together also.? Seeing Sharon on video confirming that this stuff is coming out is really exciting after all these years of waiting and wondering. 8)[/color]

Man this is Fuckin AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Im away for the computer for a Few Hours after weeks (literallY)looking a few hours a day for ANY kind of info/update & I come home to find THIS!!3 Pages in already.this Show how Damn imporntant this is.
Now I am SO EXCITED at the Potental Prospects of this!

Just listening to the New Black Sabbath ReMasters from 2008 & They sound Fantastic, even if they dont ReReRemix it again it will sound Fantastic!!!The Analog to Digital has come LIGHT YEARS since 1995,or 98 w/Ozzman Cometh. As long as its not Too Hot those Beatles ReMixes from last year are Truely Wonderful, even if you dont like them you have to give credit to how Damnwell they were preserved & recorded in the first place theyre 45 years old & sound as if they were recorded yesterday. It was just the whole mixing & Ecpecially Mastering in those days that Killed ALOT of the sound & created such tape Hiss Once they drop the masters onto a tape machine we will hear What was actually put on tape w/o the sound loss issues & it will be like a whole new record or records

You guys are getting all worked up about what's going to amount to a "snippet" of video.

There won't be "multiple concerts worth" or even partial.

You'll see.

Sure, at least it's SOMETHING - but it won't be that much.
