Alex, thanks for the direct reply and cool attitude. I agree that you think what you think and shouldnt change it to suit others...right on with that.

I also love your list of heavy bands. Some of those bands are pretty damned old though, but still awesome. I was a huge thrash fan back in the day: Bathory, Destruction, Death, Possessed, Venom, etc. Still listen to it. Now I'm listening to a lot of doom like Electric Wizard, Warhorse, and the earlier Burzum stuff.

Rock on!

I love doom! I have been spinning a lot of Celtic Frost, Skitliv, Triptykon, Witchcraft and early Katatonia lately.

I especially like Witchcraft's 70's sound.

Witchcraft - The Snake
I saw Celtic Frost live on their Monotheist tour - unbelievable show and their heaviest disc ever. Havent heard of Witchcraft, I'll have to check them out.

In that case you should check out this Finnish doom band:

Reverend Bizarre - Teutonic Witch

This song went to #1 on Finnish single chart at the time of the release. I'd like to see that happen in US of A.

Thanks for the list. I will check them out. I sometimes provoke or just poke so people will talk - even if I play the d1ckheaded 'devil's advocate' like I did with my post. Check this out - a band named Quartz in 1977, it sounds like Sabbath circa 1980 AKA Heaven & Hell. I guess the bass player sat in with Sabbath before the recording of. Pretty cool.
