Weeks away....What Is Up????Anyone???Anyone??

Post by DMRX »

I posted this on TK 1st,& I was going to wait till the 19th to post this but Its just been burning my mind.

Now as far as Ive been informed through the little "Facts" that we are Allowed to.
,
The deadline (Peters for the Documentary) is mere weeks away now.Have we seemed to forget that???
After all this Drama w/Kelly Garni & Peter & that Toolbox Romeo Rose,It has become (well at least seemingly feels)

taboo *0 to even talk about it anymore.

Now Ive been a Randy fan since I was 6 & I have waited almost 25 years for this film.
Ive been hella Cool,Calm & Collected Waiting,Just Glad to Know that it is finally being Made, and I understand that a quality product is/will be worth the extra time. But It has been nearly 3 Years since filming began,& for the 1st year or 2 we were at least informed of the progress to some degree. But I must ask,why no info for us the Fans ???.The ones keeping Randy alive.
Now the Trailer was leaked in July & as Peter M had informed us on
March 19 last year ,or was it 2008???That they had a 10min trailer of the work so far so that was done months before it was leaked & there was less than 1/2 the
interviews even filmed by that point.
Now w/the Date Rapidly approaching can we get something????
A little bit of info?? I check the RRfilm site & no new information in what seems like since it was started.
The RR Doc Myspace page,no info,The boards No info?????
I understand as Peter said the 2nd half would take as long as the 1st but
just an update more detailed than the "dont believe the internet rumors" quote *?
It hurts me to feel like Im on thin ice by asking this but,
with 2 months before the Contract expires ,I understand & Agree about the Trailer & legal issues, because they used alot of Good songs that theyd have to pay for
but as its not for sale whats the harm.We have the right to know whats up,I mean were the first one gonna be in line for preorders & such.
If its distributed like that.Or the first to get tickets if it goes to the Indi theaters.
If & I think that could be a great possibility that VH1 Classic picks it up it will be HUGE & seen by MILLIONS&MILLIONS that arent being so damn secret more potentaly if it got 1/2 the push of that ANVIL Doc.I mean Ozzys whole career was/is based on Randys Contribution.
I just hope the Osbournes allow the "Real music" and we hear from Bob & Kelly.
I mean the "Story" would just have a Huge,Huge hole in it if they arnt because they are the most imporntant Roles as far as I am concerned,Kevin bowed out & then Died before he may have came around So the ones who Knew him Best,
Kelly G through those formative years,Really Knew what was up & thats a huge part, when they were in "The Whore" playing in Hollywood Clubs for the 1st times
the Partys the Pre QR & Bob who really was as responsible for Blizzard & Diary as much as Randy or Ozzy.
Sorry
Now Im rambling,Just give us a bite anything,I mean its been 34 months

I think Iron gave a good answer for you over there. Like him, I myself have been a fan for 28 years as many others here and 3 is nothing for what we may be getting. He said it's nearing completion on the final editing. It's not taboo it's just that the discussion caused a lot of negative vibes and energy. I think it drained the online communities especially from the feuding by certain parties.

I wish I had watched the trailer a few more times when it was available, but it was amazing. If that was just the trailer, imagine what the rest will be like!

I actually saved a copy of the trailer and watch it from time to time. Can't wait for the whole thing to be done.

Well, I wanted to save it, but was intimidated by the whole legal thing...now of course, I wish i had. Is it possible to e-mail a copy, or is that a really stupid question? (I'm not the most computer savy person...)

I agree Alex it is weird but I live in hope that things are as we are led to believe but the whole drama leaves you really wondering what has been going on behind the scenes.
However I would sooner have the possitive approach that TAB has but I cant help but wonder why? Although I imagine that PM will wish to inform his audience what the hold up was and have his say on the subject of those who knew RR who have become distanced from this long awaited project.

Alex wrote:The whole Lord of the Rings trilogy took 15 months to shoot. Production and post production of the first movie took 2 years. The final movie hit the theatres 4 years after production had begun. (Mind you that it probably was dragged out to coincide with the date of the first movie.) With the extended versions, that's almost 14 hours of footage.

After 3 years, Margolis apparently has 35 minutes of footage completed.

Isn't that VERY weird?
Despite the fact that that Lord of the Rings had famous Hollywood movie stars and British theatre actors, I think that somehow the Rhoads documentary battles more ego issues. I think that's probably the hold up. Everyone is looking out for themselves rather than Randy. "I don't wanna be involved if he is...I don't wanna be involved unless these songs are used...I don't wanna...blah blah blah."

I would like to give you people a little heads up and a thing or two to ponder.. I was at the Jackson booth for the 30th anniversary of Jackson guitars and the unvailing of the Rhoads relic. If you all just set back and think one min you will relize that it is trouble in paradise for Peter Margolis. No matter what any of you think about what the family and Jackson just did .. one thing for sure is it was a milestone in Randy's legacy and quess what ?? no film crew..no Peter Margolis. This was a big deal in the music media and you know a documentary crew should have been at this you think? if old pete was still in good light with the family this would be on the film right? After all it was randys guitar that started the Jackson legacy. If you just read between those lines you will get the truth about the film. They do not have the Osbournes and many others who have backed out.

I just hate to see all you good people wishfull think to get let down. Its very sad.

This is a one time post thank you! and goodbye.

I suspect Jimbo is either KG, or KR, most likely KG. No PM, at Jackson event, or Randy's Memorial, but, also no KG at Jackson event, or Randy's Memorial ? Of course KG was at the Whiskey Show, we all know that. What say you JIMBO one time poster ? :fish:
