Made this years ago when we speculated in a thread @ tk about a dramatic film (years before any thought of a documentary)...

Paul, you've been holdin' out all this time!! Dude, that is genius! Can I show this picture at RandyRhoads.tk? I was just about to move this thread to the next level but you give me an idea. There will definitely be a promotional poster for this documentary and I'd like to tell everyone that created a title to put their best ideas forward with their title displayed. That is a great way of selling your title to the general audience.

Here We Go!!

O.K. everyone now it's time to show your title to the world at large. A title can go a long way if it sits on a proper background. A documentary title should have a promotional poster to go with it. Don't think you are creative enough? Ba Humbug!! I've seen what you geniuses are capable of. I've seen moving jpegs, hand drawn avatars, and enough Photoshop wizardry to impress any HOLLYWOOD producer. Now you have the chance to impress the Rhoads family with a killer piece of artwork for the documentary promo poster. Some of you have already done this years ago and didn't even tell me (shame on you Paul  ). I will display all artworks side by side in a gallery format and then a poll will be given on which masperpiece projects the best for Randy's documentary. No matter what happens, everyone wins because artwork lasts forever.

Here are some examples of simple artworks that are exactly what the documentary needs for inspiration:

Even the universe has an idea about the documentary. (see Guitar Pulsar) :P

The first one I'd like to post is by Paul Wolfe. It was created years before the thought of a documentary was even considered for Randy.

I loved the shots created by everyone and all the titles seem very fitting, I only hope 'You know who' is paying attention of all this free publicity and support he is getting from the place 'You know who' said were always attacking 'You know who'.

Yes I Know

Post by RR-ElectricAngel »

I know about the drama behind the film but the general audience does not. When all is said and done the only thing that will matter is Randy will get a long overdue documentary that validates his talent. If you have ever worked in the entertainment industry it teaches you that people will do anything to get a project done. We are hardly a civilized species by any means. I went to a Michael Schenker signing 3 years ago (see pictures of us thread) and I remember the man in front of me collapsed from heat exhaustion. At first no one wanted to help him. They just walked over his unconscious body. What did I do? I ran 3 blocks to a 7-11 and was able to flag down a cop car on patrol. I then ran back to the unconscious man and directed the ambulance into the back of the signing area. I don't have to tell you that in Texas it gets hot; especially in August. The point is, don't be the person that doesn't help (you all are way above that). Look through all the bullshit (no matter who is responsible for flinging it) and you will see that this is a good cause. If you are worried about who gets the king's treatment just remember: The only thing the audience truly remembers is the art. How many movies have you seen and actually knew or even cared who directed it? A movie is only as good as the story. Randy's story is one the general audience must see. We are promoting Randy's legacy for future generations. That is our responsibility.
