I'd say you could apply that statement to life in general ;) As a kid you think you know it all, then as you get older you find you really knew very little. Of course when you're 30 you think you know a lot, by the time you get to 40 you find you didn't know as much at 30 as you thought...

If Randy had lived to not be cool with it, the re-makes would have had someone replacing Randy's parts to avoid royalties, too :D

Remember Randy Rhoads wrote:you seem to forget that Ozzy also had BATM, NRFTW, and NMT were also brutally remastered.. it wasn't just BOO and DOAM.

i wonder what Zakk thinks of this matter?
But they didn't re record those albums with different musicians, or did they???

Remastered vs. Rerecorded

Post by RR-ElectricAngel »

Yes. Both Blizzard Of Ozz and Diary Of A Madman were rerecorded in 2002 with a different drummer and bass player as a way of not paying royalties to the other musicians. This is kind of a sore spot with me as it is almost impossible to find the original recordings on CD before they were compromised. Never mess with perfection. The fans know better...

Ya all pAINTING a real Tainted Picture indeed. When Les Paul invented the multi-track recorder, he didn't know that some clown record executive would dub over a master recording of original musicians with other musicians to save on royalty payments.

The music industry has been dead for years. RIP
