Ozzy Death

Post by shawn »

Seems that Ozzy has died today. That is crazy close to his last gig. The three Randy albums, if we include tribute, are by far his best work. It is a shame that his awful business decisions have really tainted his image in my opinion.

Rest in peace Ozzy, you gave us so much. Both with Sabbath & solo, so many great songs, so much work with a variety of top musicians. Thanks.

Bit much to be writing those negative comments on the day he passed. Sometimes harsh decisions were made and results were unfavorable for some, but business doesnt always go everyones way. Easy to be a know-it-all keyboard warrior and spout your negativity on how it all should have been.

Dude Ozzy was involved in making some amazing music but there is no need to sugarcoat it. He ripped people off, financially and creatively . There is no know it all keyboard warrior bullshit about it.

Ozzy was no saint, sure, and the people around him neither. Just saying its a bit much to create the first post on Ozzys passing and immediately taint it with negativity. Speaking about business, have a look at what Jake E Lee said about Ozzy before his passing or Bob Daisley right after.

I find it very disrespectful to talk about this so soon after the guys funeral. It's like relatives rubbing their hands at a wake waiting for their cut of their wealth.. It's shit antics and I would be the first one to call them all. Keep it for another time OK.

Where I come from it is perfectly acceptable to talk about the good and the bad when a person dies. It sounds like your culture is different, it would be normal for you to follow your cultural norms.

Well said.

Speaking on Ozzy and Randy, just saw this on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S92Yn0o8JjE
Cant recall if I saw this one when it got initially released, but it doesnt contain new RR footage. Cool to see the likes of Doug Aldridge and George Lynch and sorts speak on Randy, and Ozzy ofcourse with all the kind words after Randy's passing. Even a bit with Gary Moore. Check it out if you haven't. Not sure if its meant to stay on youtube for a long time...

Dude you are upset about talking honestly about a person. Do you guys honestly have a time period before you can talk about a person that is such a weird pasty white thing.
