Who was at Villa park for the last gig ?
OK it was doomed from the start, then announced Ozzy would be only doing 5 songs, sitting down because of his health. We watched it and overall it was OK with some great performances from Nuno Bettincourt KK Downing Mike Bordin, Travis Barker, Rudy Sarzo. But some of the acts came across bad. Sammy Hagar was just out of key on Flying High Again. Ill rehearsed or just trying to wing it. Axyl was just terrible did someone turn off his auto tune. Bill Ward played OK but was nothing to big up.. Shit why did he take his top off. I think he needed a deck chair on Brighton beach not a drum stool. I'm glad I didn't pay to see it. I think it was OK but a cash grab. Be it for charity or not it was way over priced... God bless Ozzy happy retirement.

6,000,000 x $30 streaming = lots
Jake E Lee could have been with a diff group. Nuno is always great. Tool great. Great to see Slayer
I've only seen what's on YT

I loved it. Great bands came to pay tribute. Not all of them were perfect, but what gives. Great retirement party for Ozzy. Multiple moments where a tear came to my eye. Tom Morello also paid tribute to Randy, and then ofcourse others were wearing Randy merch. I knew Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor is a big Rhoads fan and spotted his Randy Rhoads drum kit on stage. Very pleased.
I did feel a bit bad about Jake E Lee. Sounded like either his guitar wasnt in tune, he couldnt hear himself, he had playing problems or any of those combined. He did get shot recently in LA and I also read something about arthristis or something similar. Interesting how he didnt do the solo on the one track but he did on the other. He didnt sound too great but I am happy to have seen him 'reunited' to a certain degree. Curious if he spoke with Ozzy. I did see him on the group picture. Zakk was great too, clearly checking in with Ozzy and providing vocal support to boost when it became thin.
Ticket prices were OK. It aint cheap, but adding up what a festival would cost with that all star line up would exceed what was asked. Got up 3 nights at 4AM local time to get tickets, but didnt manage to snatch any. Pity I missed it in person, but happy how it turned out!
Jack blacks Mr Crowley is worth a watch too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hm-M8Gv ... zyOsbourne Great re-enactment of the TV performance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3LvhdF ... zyOsbourne ) and the iconic lift during the solo as well.

Yeah for sure he could of played with Rudy and Mike Bordin. That was a blessing that Nuno was with him. As Jake was having issues, shaking his head and not feeling good about what he could hear. With his wrist supported he is still not up to the job. Reports saying sound issues and his guitar was out of tune. Hey it was great to see him back on a big stage, after his ordeal of nearly being killed. I was more surprised he was invited and turned up.

I'm only going by YT footage. maybe the sound system? that was a huge stage and plenty of monitors.

Just saw this on Facebook:
Did anyone get a comment from Bob Daisley on this? Not sure how he's doing nowadays
So indeed problems due to his arthristis and being shot. I think in one of the recordings I also saw him signaling the audio guy to turn up the monitor. Coulndt find the actual video interview, but interesting to hear that Jake has no hard feelings anymore.Jim Florentine & Jim Norton interviewed former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E Lee's Red Dragon Cartel on 7/5/25 at the final Black Sabbath show and Jake stated that he did not play "Bark at the Moon" due to the arthritis in his hands, plus him being shot also made it impossible.
Jake stated that he no longer had any hard feelings towards Ozzy or Sharon Osbourne that he understood it was all just "business".
Jake said that he also got nervous for the first time EVER in his musical career during rehearsals for the show.
Jake stated that when he picked up the guitar during g rehearsals Nuno Bettencourt & Tom Morello were both watching him play & it made him extremely nervous.
