Showtime Quiet Riot documentary

Over at the Metal Method message board I heard about a new Quiet Riot documentary to be aired on Showtime tomorrow night...

Yeah, I don't have Showtime either... I thought it'd be interesting because I know a lot about the Randy era of Quiet Riot, but almost nothing about the post-Randy era & definitely nothing about the post-Kevin era.

I was wondering when this would surface...maybe four years ago, Frankie had this up on Kickstarter.
I'm halfway through, and I would consider it worth my time. Tenth grade was drawing to a close when Metal Health hit, so this was a neat look back.
I wound up seeing them later on in that Fall, after their tour with Sabbath. They were doing a headlining tour of sorts, with Armored Saint in tow.
Kathy & Kelle are in it for a few brief interview segments filmed at Musonia. Ditto for Jodi.
Plenty of Randy. Most pics have been seen, ditto for footage. Nothing earth shattering. Randy was a founder, he's included for the history pertinent to the story, not as a means to sell the film.
Garni is in it briefly, Forsyth has his name mentioned only when they rattle off all of the line-up changes over the years.
No Cavazo, (huh?), but, plenty of Sarzo. I honestly thought it would've been the other way around, given how tight Kevin and Frankie were, coupled with Kev's outright disdain for Rudy.
It is mentioned along the way that Frankie wanted to move forward with Chuck Wright and Alex Grossi, who were in the band when Kevin passed.
In case anyone wondered, there is no mention of the reunion shows with Randy.
At any rate, if you're a fan of the band, as well as the genre, treat yourself to this neat little time capsule!
If anyone out there does have Showtime, this can be found under your version of "On Demand", (because ST is part of my cable pkg., I can go into the menu under "Premium Channels", pick "Showtime", pick "Docs" and scroll down to find QUIET RIOT. It is available until 2/5, Thurs.

EDIT: Watched the remainder, and was pleased. It'd make a good double-feature, paired with Ron Sobol's book doc.
It is mentioned during the credit roll that Carlos was contacted multiple times to be interviewed, but all calls went unanswered.

Quiet Riot and Armored Saint? Odd bill... I saw Armored Saint open for Suicidal Tendencies, which made a little more sense...

My mistake, that show was actually in support of Condition Critical. Armored Saint had just released March of the Saint, (produced by Max Norman, btw.).
Just an observation: it's a bit odd that eventually, Randy's old band wound up opening for Ozzy's old band.

I'll second this, I had to download it since I don't have the channel and it was wonderful. I was watching and really pulling for things to work out for Frankie. Great stuff!

The more I've read about Van Halen's early days, more apparent it comes that Quiet Riot were like a second rate band compared to Van Halen. In a way I'm disappointed but not surprised. Quiet Riot as an entity did not give a thread to Van Halen.
It really seems like Randy was not mentioned that often as George Lynch, Rusty Anderson etc. Correct me if I'm wrong?
And by the time Randy came out with Blizzard Of Ozz, Edward Van Halen was way far ahead in the game. Point of this all?
I wish Randy had found a better and more advanced band!!!
Randy seems to have been only contender in QR and rest of the band were just like any other band. Weird how this pisses me off... We're blessed to have what we got from Randy!!!
