I was really suprised, he's a really nice guy and not self centered at all.!
I posted this on his wall:

I'm a really big fan of yours. I think you're one the most underrated bassists ever.
(And I'm insanely jealous that you worked with Randy Rhoads.)
But yeah, I just wanted to say Hi, because it's not everyday that a freakin' rockstar adds me on facebook
"He didn't reply to the post, but instead messaged my inbox.! Here's what he said:
"Hi Brittany, thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad someone noticed my playing. I'm the only bass player in the world that Randy taught, so I have much to live up to! Hopefully, we can meet someday. Feel free to write me with any questions!"
So, in my fit of happiness, I replied:
"What an amazing way to start my day; a message from THE Kelly Garni. Haha.!
And it's really not a problem; I like dissecting individual songs to hear the different parts. (I'm such a dork.)
I'm a musician myself, so would it be alright if I were to send you little recordings and junk and have you critique them.? I'm a total rookie, but some constructive critisizm would do me good
