I don't think she let the folks at Jackson take the pickups out or take the covering to the volume and tone pots cover off
That's a fact Jack

Those numbers have nothing to do with output.
If they did, Yngwies previous DiMarzios would be
High Output Monsters with a rating at 23.5K ;)

My friends at rare electric guitars
Sent me many pics of there concord new and improved

The logo is hand painted and the pinstripes are in the right places

Unlike the other Concords out there this is really good

My friend Anna from rare electric guitar said that they now are building Randy's les Paul

She said they have the les Paul's in stock but not listed on the site yet

She also said that they are bring back jimmy Hendrix strat

I have know Anna for a long time and kind of think of her as my china pin pal

I have known her before joining this form

She gives me info on things like what's being changed on the replicas

The only thing that she said will not change is that rare electric guitars.com makes there own version of a Floyd rose

But sadly it does not stay in tune worth a s...

It looks nice but does not stay in tune

Anyways here is some new pics of the new and improved randy rhoads concord

I have just received pics of the randy rhoads les Paul and wow it looks good

The only thing wrong it it is the head stock diamond is cream it's not like that on the real guitar

Anna said that Gibson has been up there asses

I told her not to post pics of the headstock when they put the guitar on the website

But if you post pics of the headstock photoshop the Gibson logo and diamond out

She said thy she will get back to me on that

Others wise the guitar looks good

But how does it sound?

I am going to hurry up real quick and help you with the paint

Here's Randy's concord

Look very carefully

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NRhxt7jpSNs

1:40-1:50
Notice at certin angels the headstock comes off as purple blue
But looking straight at it It looks black

The same color that was used for the head stock was also used for the pinstripes as well

Now here is so advice from chip Ellie's the man that help make the 2008 tribute relic
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bMobIvjVOn8

I prefer you watch the whole vid but if you want to get to the paint part then skip to
1:37-1:50

Good bye for a few days

And
Good luck hope this helps

I dont want to start anything and I understand that you want a replica, but like threads have said before, its more about the playing and music than it is the gear. So I would say try to get a close dark blue/black colour but don't spend too much time on it and put that time into practicing. Im all for DIY guitars but too me at least the playing and practicing is what is more important than stressing about exact details on gear.

Im excited to see it when its done!

what I would do for the blue is spray the headstock and strips black first then tint some clear lacquer with blue and spray it over the head and strips....you should get pretty close to the effect
