They play fast, at least the EC series. Had to knock down the sticky clear coat on my ec-1000 to make it not stick when my hands sweat. Taking that top layer on the back of the neck down to a satin with some steel wool (fine) makes it feel smoother, imho. I wouldn't do it to my Eclipse II though

Re: ESP guitar
To be perfectly honest, it might be my favorite guitar to play. Just don't tell my Les Pauls that.

Re: ESP guitar
I have an ESP LTD F250...black azimuth finish...I bought it from Vicki and Carlos Cavazo...Its fun to play..the neck is small enough for my hands...Dont laugh, I am trying to learn "Sweet Jane" by the Cowboy Junkies as of recent.
Re: ESP guitar
That's the 2nd time I've heard of the band Cowboy Junkies in the last 2 days. Now I gotta look them up =)
Re: ESP guitar
EMG's arent the best feature on them, you may want to swap those out

why?BowTie29 wrote:EMG's arent the best feature on them, you may want to swap those out
Re: ESP guitar
The EMG's are effective for certain sounds for sure, however RWND has made many posts talking about his obession to get the EVH/RR tone and EMG's aren't the best pickups to achieve that particular sound.

WHAT POST ABOUT EVH TONEBowTie29 wrote:The EMG's are effective for certain sounds for sure, however RWND has made many posts talking about his obession to get the EVH/RR tone and EMG's aren't the best pickups to achieve that particular sound.
i wanted to see if anybody on this form could point me to replica t tops pickups so i could get a simular tone that randy had in the 70s and 80s
i just like the EMG tone it has nothing to do with randys or EVHs tone
Re: ESP guitar
Sorry, I thought I had read a post where you wanted EVH tone. I just said that you were at one time talking of how you wanted a RR tone so I just said that if you want that tone you won't get it with EMG's. If you want EMG tone then go ahead but it wont be Randy tone and theres nothing wrong with not having Randy tone, however you had said that you wanted Randy tone, so thats why I said what I did
