Re: Benson and Hedges no Malboro today.
I thought Randy was a Winston man? This is England and he probably couldn't get his brand or it may have been more expensive. I have known quite a few very skinny people who are chain smokers. It kills the appetite. Who was cooking at the Rhoads house? Big Dee? And Randy drank diet coke? What was th...

Re: Ozzy DOAM head on the table
I wouldn't say the silkscreen is done "more advanced" at all. It looks crappy. Not as nice as the official tour shirts. Now, it definitely could of been done at a later date and is most likely unofficial like a t-shirt sold outside the venue! It would have been cool to see an official vers...

Re: Is this Randy`s white Marshall head at the 1983 US Festi
Six! I almost filled my drawers! Wow. I can't recall whether it was actually pink or gold, even if he changed guitars during the Kiss show. I heard (and the other article mentions it being different colors but if you had 6, you really wouldn't need to paint them. Vinnie could be pulling legs! How ab...

Re: Is this Randy`s white Marshall head at the 1983 US Festi
Very good eye! I was gonna say there were a lot of bands there it could be someone else's but it's Ozzy/Jake's equipment on wheels. Jake's Charvel guitar is there. There is pics with Jake and a black Jackson (missing a knob). Once again, what is the deal Grover Jackson? He said Randy when died and h...

Re: New -: Bob & Lee interview 2013
He looks like the same guy but 30 years later. You guys do know the rest of the band was in their thirties when BOO and DOAM were recorded in 1980? I find it amusing when people go, "Oh they look so old, what happened?" Lee is 65 years old. Bob is 63. You probably are used to seeing Hollyw...

Re: Interview with Andrew Klein regarding his book
FACT: FIRST CHORD OF "GIRL GONE BAD" IS THE "DIARY OF A MADMAN" CHORD. Sorry for shoutin'! Talking to a peer or someone in the same game about equipment is one thing, although some guys have their secrets but Randy would have had to say something about the album, if indeed it hap...

Re: Ozzy paid for Randy's tomb
He (Ozzy) did do a set as Ozzy and then did a small set with Sabbath. I'm thinking he was over-prescribed on medication.

Re: Ozzy paid for Randy's tomb
I have thrown away a bunch of VHS tapes. I hope I kept this int. It was the worst studdering footage of Ozzy's career. 1992 Costa Mesa after show footage. He probably (I don't mean to joke) had a stroke on camera.

Re: Randy Rhoads Tribute Solo at the Correct Pitch....
Yes, people tuned down to Eb. Supposedly VH had a similar story (bad tuner) but even Sabbath tuned down to C# (open E) in some cases. Randy did remark about the tuning sounding "Heavier" but for a tuner to be a half-step off is pretty crappy tech work. I'm not saying Max Norman was a bad p...

Re: New -: Bob & Lee interview 2013
Nicey nice. Thanks Idol! I just bought a drum machine (Boss DR-670) and a 8 track recorder. I'm gonna model the rhythm section after the Blizzard of Ozz!

Re: Randy Rhoads Tribute Solo at the Correct Pitch....
There are musicians that can name pitch. These tapes were recorded on a machine that can come out of calibration. I know Max said he had different sounding versions of the same show. It could be any of these things.

Re: Randy Rhoads Tribute Solo at the Correct Pitch....
When I heard Laughing Gas on QR RR years, it made me think of Tribute. Also Heartbreaker/LZ had the same issue because they recorded the song in and out without the solo. Page's guitar is sharp or flat in the solo section.
