Re: How many people have been at the memorial march 19

I keep saying I'm going to go and I end up not being able to... the cemetery is a 45 minute drive from my house.

Re: Singers Randy Would Have Been Cool With

Dave's motives when putting his band together was partly to top his former bandmates.... I'm convinced of that. Dave left Van Halen in 1985. Randy (if he had fulfilled his commitment to Ozzy) would have left in or around 1984. I can see Dave trying to get Randy on board, (aside from Randy's obvious ...

Re: Hmmmm....

Good points Estang74. Yeah - I thought they maybe re-recorded some vocal takes from 87' (during Tribute as well). Still - the question lingers...Ozzy sounds fantastic. His voice almost changes from record to record. The voice on the new live album DOES sound like the 81-82 Ozzy. So, I think it's re...

Re: Which performances are on the Live CD?

The more I listen to these tracks I come to the conclusion that when the vocals on Tribute were recorded, there were several takes and/or versions. I bet if you strip away the double tracking (on Ozzy's vocals) on Tribute it could be argued that the vocals on this new live CD is from the same record...

Re: Which performances are on the Live CD?

The more tracks I listen to here, the more I really wonder where the hell they came from. Seriously, what's going on here??? Im loving it, but what am I hearing??? I'd almost suspect it wasnt Randy, that we had been duped, but I know his technique too well, and it's definitely him. Some odd note ch...

Re: Which performances are on the Live CD?

I've been listening to the samples on iTunes... the vocals on the live CD sound like they were done in the studio. i don't know how they did it (because Ozzy's vocal range is nowhere near what itonce was), but that is not live... in fact, listen to Paranoid real close, the words "occupy my brai...

I was 13 when Randy passed.... I eventually got to see the Diary concert in May of 82 (my first concert) the imfamous "Speak of the Devil" show at Irvine Meadows (with Brad Gillis). Good show but it wasn't Randy. Like I said on Face Book... "though we see him as a guitar God (and righ...

Re: Ozzy Renames Documentary

The Documentary is scheduled to premier at the Tribeca Film Festival. I guess we'll find out if clips of the long awaited "Never before seen footage" of Randy will be part of the Doc. Hope so! http://www.tribecafilm.com/festival/media2/10th_TRIBECA_FILM_FESTIVAL_ANNOUNCES_FILM_SELECTIONS_F...
