Youtube Rocks!

I am amazed at how much I missed over the years with all the rock cocerts by various bands. I'm glad there is at least one site you can find virtually any video of a band playing live. That is a cure for depression as far as I am concerned...

Only Joe Knows

It has been said that Joe did not have good songwriting capabilities. I read a post on an Ozzy site that the audience preferred Zakk over Joe because he was more charismatic. Joe is still a great player no matter what...

Easy Influence

If you ever get an audio/CD recording of Wolf Marshall explaining Randy's style you get some great input on where he drew some of his Classical inspiration from. (Most of you already know this) In Dee there is a quote from Bach's Bouree in E Minor. Great piece...

I would love to see Ratt again. I saw them 20 years ago on the Invasion Of Privacy Tour with Twisted Sister. Rock solid through and through...

Prague

I have been to Prague and that was pretty incredible. There is more culture there than any other place I've visited. The Czech Republic was really cool as well. Of course there are still places I want to go to just to say "Been there, done that." Hawaii would be pretty awesome I think.

I like any musician that has something to say and yet still helps others to become better musicians. My favorites change everyday according to mood and relevance...

Who Is The Best?

If I favor a guitarist it usually is because they brought a lot to the instrument and helped others become better overall. Randy was a teacher and helped his students become better guitarists (like Satriani). That's why I look up to him. There are lots of shredders but not many heros...

Joe Can Play

I saw a similar video and my jaw dropped. Mr. Crowley never sounded better. I'm glad there are fans that can appreciate talent when they hear it. Whatever level of songwriting ability Joe possesses I hope he records his own stuff. I'd definitely check it out...

About Joe Holmes

I have always wondered about what Joe Holmes was like. He was promoted by Ozzy as a student of Randy's. I then saw a 20th anniversary special done on Randy on youtube and they interviewed him. The guy is very cool. I then went to an Ozzy site where they discussed these issues. According to Sharen Os...

RR-Electric Angel says Hello Fellow Rockers

I joined a few weeks ago and forgot to say hello...oops. I have been an Ozzy/Randy fan since I was 12 years old. I picked up the guitar when I was 18 years old. Randy's style just blew me away and it inspired me to become a guitar teacher. Now, 19 years later I finally can find a way to say thanks. ...

Jake E. Lee is still cool...

I still listen to Waiting For Darkness, Centre of Eternity, Killer of Giants and Secret Loser quite a bit. There are some really cool ideas in those songs. I sure am glad he's still around...

I am always amazed how Zakk can perform double duty on some of these tours with Ozzy. Zakk will have his album and the new Ozzy album to promote by next year. The man must be a cyborg...

What is Bad and What is Good

It is really difficult to pick out a "bad" Ozzy album since there are always songs that might not be my favorite. I do wish that Ozzy would get away from slower tempo songs and crank out a few up tempo ones. Nothing extreme, just make a few of them more energetic...

Diary of a Madman Intro

I read somewhere that Ozzy heard Randy playing Estusio #6 one day and wanted to use it. Randy said it was already someone else's but Ozzy didn't care. Randy doesn't play it verbatum. I'd say about 3/4 of the entire chord progression is used but it is arranged differently. Randy's version is much coo...
