Re: pictures of Randy's pedalboard

Here's the input and loop jacks. As I said, I think there are SIX, not four, like in the Rig Layout. Randy just used the outers. Not sure what the middle were for. Maybe the AUX on/off, but he never used that function?!?

Re: pictures of Randy's pedalboard

Got the EQ hole machined on a Bridgeport. Looks great. Now I will fork on mounting and wiring everything up! Looking forward to it!! :)

fyi - lines are drawn by pencil so can erase right off. Need to clean surfaces from the machinery and metal shavings.

Re: pictures of Randy's pedalboard

The IEC is punched in the back as well as Seven jacks! It looks to me, there is the input, then 3 pairs with the outer ones used and not the center 2 (I'll post a pic tomorrow). There is a switch on the pedalboard for AUX (On/Off), soo, maybe for this?? I dunno, but just in case put in. If not suppo...

Re: pictures of Randy's pedalboard

Ok, here is where I am at today! Next: Need to figure out what to do about EQ. There are a couple avenues.... 1. Pull board out and cut out hole and mount to standby's. The range would not be shown and I would still have to figure what to do about EQ door. 2. As a backup and in case I am going to do...

Re: pictures of Randy's pedalboard

GUITARIDOL5682 - when I said "Pete", I meant Homes, not Mertons. I decided on going forward with what I know, so starting working on the pedalboard today! I took a few pictures of it and imported it into a program to measure and figure out where the holes needed to be drilled. They are spo...

Re: pictures of Randy's pedalboard

Friend sent me these photos. A few things to note.... 1. The settings on the stand-alone Distortion+ and the one inside the pedalboard are identical! Soo the correct settings on the VINTAGE pedal are distortion just past 3 o'clock! There are 2 ways to run this pedal, just like an amp...distortion up...

Re: pictures of Randy's pedalboard

Yeah, I don't know about the OD1. I see the input is pluged in, so hooked up somehow whether activated or not. Maybe he needed something for the gig and the Distortion+ was not working or maybe later favored it over the Distortion+?!? These are the first pictures I've seen of this. Looks like his te...

Re: pictures of Randy's pedalboard

Keep in mind Randy likely moved things around regarding the signal chain while on tour.. His wah pedal was routed into the effects loop for a good portion of his Ozzy time. This is why it was so overpowering and really couldn't be used in the standard wah format you would expect. Just listen to aft...
