Re: Crazy Train: The high life and tragic death of Randy Rho

I finished reading the book yesterday, a good solid read! I could live without the comments in legacy chapter by random contemporary guitarists influenced by RR but that's just me.

But Peter Margolis is writing a book based on his interviews during the film making? Is the doc history? :?:

Re: Possible different take on the "Concorde"

He was way to busy with teaching guitar and playing in a band. Too busy to watch Star Trek... Also, he never came off to me as someone who would just sit in front of a T.V. and watch shows like Star Trek all day or something. C'mon, I'm sure he had a life outside guitar too. Even a nerdy one....

He's a GOD. Especially his work on Uriah Heep's Easy Livin' is phenomenal, I really dig his groove and sound on it. Simply unbelievable stuff.

Im tired of being a Randy 'fan', but I'm not tired of Randy's music. I think this release is the greatest thing ever to happen to Randy's legacy since Tribute.
Well put, thank you!

Re: its so much better than TRIBUTE!!!

I think Tribute is way much better produced, the differences between different takes are a lot less noticeable than on this new one. so they had to copy and paste over vocal errors from other concerts, one they will probably never release a full live 82 album (over the mountain) even if they had mi...

Re: Do you think more Randy Rhoads footage exists?

There was no mention of Bob and Lee on the DVD. ANYWHERE. Perhaps Ozzy remembers it more clearly and accurately? I suppose it was Bob and Lee who pulled Ozzy off BOO and DOAM, oh wait it was the other way around. Hitler's family should write a book how WW2 was the Jews fault. Oh yeah, we try not to...

Re: its so much better than TRIBUTE!!!

I think the thing that has bugged me the most is the audience noise. It just sounds fake or added in after words. I also hate some of the inconsistencies in terms of some of the songs, meaning that not all of the material from this album is from one show. Exactly my thoughts as well..... However I ...

Cool, recieved Born Again today.

Sounds better than the original version although it's clearly an 80s product soundwise. Big drums!
