Re: Box set live footage
If you look at the photos/video from the Palladium sets, you'll notice the stage extended forward quite a bit from the front floor monitors. As an experienced live musician myself, you really don't see much from the stage except what is directly in front of you within a few feet in most cases (durin...

Re: Phoenix Bros Footage
Yeah. I wasn't intending for this thread to beat on the Pheonix Bros. They have every right to keep that footage to themselves no matter how desparately we all would love to see it. It was simply a query after seeing the palladium footage given the technology of the time.

Phoenix Bros Footage
Not sure if this has been covered already but I wonder if the Phoenix Bros. footage is broken up like the Palladium footage due to film length limitations.

Re: Jake E. Lee w/ Randy's Guitar?
At the time of Randy's passing, Grover Jackson was working on two guitars for Randy. They were both based on the Black (Concord) that Randy recieved shortly before his death. The two guitars being built included refinements based on Randy's feedback. One of these guitars was to have the tune-o-matic...

There's a version of Dee I recorded off the fly while trying out a new condenser mic. Not perfect but bad for one take and not having played it for several years.
Thanks,
Jimi

Re: Randy's White Marshall vs 1959RR
Considering some of the castle stage pics I've seen...I'd have to say that the backline was used as they were mic'd up. In the end, Randy's amp that he used as a monitor ended up as a side fill on the stage. I've seen several stage shots that show the half stacks on the side of the stage. If you wat...

The white Jackson (Concord) that he uses on Over The Mountain on the DOAM footage is sitting on a stand to the right of Randy's amps in the After Hours footage. Same guitar.

Can't remember which Sabbath tune off the top of my head...but when Ozz is whipping up the crowd does he say "let's do it again for London?" Noticed it today...but not listening to it at the moment.

The discs didn't slide down in the bottom of the gatefold did they? The pockets/gatefold are not all that secure.
Re: Hmmmm....
OK....I have to admit that sometimes...you guys just crack me up. The conspiracy theories are all too common. I've listened to the live CD from the boxset and even bought the physical Diary legacy CD on my way home today just to have the liner notes. While I don't entirely buy into the fact that the...

Re: Which performances are on the Live CD?
I'm guessing this is a two-track board tape(s). Very difficult to overdub, if not impossible. Could they add to it? Absolutely. Crowley is from the Diary tour...listen to the extended intro.
