and if you dont know all ready check the top of that page randy had 2 DiMarzio PAFs 1 in the neck and bridge but he later changed the brigde to a Super Distortion and you can see the oringall specs of the PDV on that page
BowTie29 wrote:I was wondering about that cause I read the sheet before, but I had always heard that he had a Super D in the bridge.
well the spec sheet says 2 PAFS 1 for the bridge and 1 for the neck but from the pics of randy and his guitars he loved to change out things he changed the bridge on the PDV it use to be crome when randy got it but changed it to a black bridge guss randy was not digging 2 PAF so he changed the bridge pickup to a super distortion
Yes, sorry , I edited that post at the last moment... => I was going to say I either thought it was like you said a picture of the japanese doc or a picture someone shot in the hall of fame / rock museum (dont remember what it was called) where they displayed some real Randy stuff.
Lacquer allows for the vintage aged look over time. That guitar looks like hell because it was on display in direct sunlight for an extended period of time.

Yes I know it was in sunlight.
No one wants a vintage look on a custom job. It's fine for an old guitar that's single color or burst.. But not anything with graphics or custom paint.
