Mikel Thanks for posting that review up. I was lucky to be at that gig, Ozzy played Newcastle twice in 1980. This review is from the 17th September 1980 Newcastle city hall. The guy hasn't captured the atmosphere in his review. I had been too about a dozen concerts before this Ozzy gig and the crowd was head banging for the entire show the balcony was bouncing. It was moving that much i honestly thought it was going to collapse. The Newcastle crowds always had a good time and the bands came to this venue year after year. Ozzy had the front rows drenched with buckets of water, but they all revelled in the madness. Randy was just the guy with the spotted v guitar who worked the stage like an unknown guitarist. His licks turned heads and guys made comments about his trade marked size and how small & skinny the guy was. Nobody knew at that time how big of a monster he'd become. I was hoping the review would of refreshed a few memories from the gig. The only one that came to mind was the colour of Ozzy's shirt, red. I managed to get a piece of the shirt as Ozzy had the tassles, then the sleeves ripped from the shirt. Then he took it off and tossed the remains into the crowd.

Hi Guitaridol! After reading the review, I thought that maybe reviewer was referring to himself...as "old dog" :D
Bootlegs from the 1980 tend to usually sound anything but lame, so I would think shows were quite energetic and exciting, to say at least. Lucky you, to have been there!
Long live Randy Rhoads,- you can´t kill rock´n roll!!!
