Who here has a Gmw polka dot v what I need to know is the spacing of the dots on the guitar thanks a lot will be posting pixs of guitar when finished

U will have to get pics.. It's not exact. A good painter can figure that out.

I've thought about this...

Given that the size of the pickups is a constant, you could make
out the size of the dots and the spaces in between if you just scaled
up a portion of the guitar :)

That's how I would do it. I'm sure the original painter didn't specify a size, he probably just cut out various sizes and went with what looked right. It's a 'one off' custom guitar, not sure you would keep specs for it :? I'm also willing to bet that most of the copies out there are not remotely 100% correct but they look great!

Once you get a rough measurement I would cut out a few different sizes and just see what looks right.
