Oh man that is killer 8)

quick question if I may ask.. I read through the posts and see you've added the brass. Did you have to have someone make em for ya? I've always loved the look of Randy's brass toggle plate and have been looking for a brass toggle plate for some time to add to my Custom. I can only find the tip, just not the plate. So I'm wondering if I'm just gonna have to make one or have one made?

Perhaps someone else on the board can chime in on that too.

I hope you enjoy that Paul! with envy

Of course since posting my question. I found my answer about 5 mins ago.. Schaller makes a brass toggle switch plate.

There are major differences between the 74 and 79. The 74 has a mahogany neck, 79 has maple. 74 has T-top pick ups, 79 has PAF. 74 has an ABR-1 bridge with with studs directly in the wood, the 79 has a Nashvile bridge.

Dont get me wrong, the 79 is a great Norlin era guitar, but the Les Paul Custom changed dramatically mid year in 1975.

T Tops, aren't those supposed to be pretty sought after?

How do you like the T Tops over PAF's?

T-tops are what Randy's LP had. The really come alive when driven hard by the amp or with a pedal. Chuncky yet loud and clear on the top end.
