Longtime reader of this great forum, just decided to join today!
I've been a Randy Rhoads fan for a long, long time, and my first exposure to whom I think is the most amazing and exciting guitarist ever, came from my cassette version of BLIZZARD OF OZZ.
Randy's amazing and wonderful playing hooked me, and one of the first CD's I bought was TRIBUTE, which I proceeded to play until it wouldn't play anymore!
I've seen Ozzy in concert only once (OZZMOSIS tour, w/Joe Holmes on guitar), and I'm a fan of his, but no one, even the fantastic players he's had since Randy, can compare to the sheer talent and amazingness of one Mr. Rhoads. Innovator, virtuoso, phenomenon - that's Randy!
Thanks for creating a community to freely discuss all things Rhoads - I belong to tk, but to be honest (and this is nothing against tk), I find the atmosphere here more relaxed.
I look forward to interacting with folks on this board!
And yes, it's pretty good forum.
