Could this be the "Last" Picture of Randy??I'd imagine if it is real,someone,a band member??Would have given this to Mr.Rhoads at the Funeral???

How would this not have been released if it were true? I know that any memorabilia involving RR is held onto pretty tight, but it seems to me that we would have seen something like this a long time ago if it existed.

Well given the fact that it was Randy's father who had the picture and that Randy died on that very plane probably not ten minutes after the picture was taken, it would be a very personal and heavy thing for his father to share.
One thing that throws this is that the youtube commentor claims this picture was a polaroid. Within the Ballbuster Hard Radio interview with Don from '02, there are some allusions to Don being the band photographer of sorts. When he talks about the band taking their own pictures of Randy's guitars he said 'When we got the pictures back', which leads me to believe he's referring to film needing to be sent out and developed.
I think I remember reading somewhere that the Leesburg police had confiscated all of Don's rolls of film, which were developed and returned to him after the investigation.
Polaroids are known for producing instant photos...no need to develop.
I don't really see Don Airey giving these pictures to anyone, as the context is just too fucking sad.

well it could also mean that the cops took the polaroids for the investigation then gave them back too?hard to say but like you said that has to be some heavy shit to have had to deal with..its got to send chills up anybody's spine to know that after the photos were taken that those were to be the last ever taken of randy...wow!

I was going to point this out too.I recall Don Aireys being Film as were All cameras of that day (aside from Poloroids) For all we know it could have been Randys & he wanted a Picture of himself on the Plane,then when the Accident happened,the powers that be got that Picture to the Rhoads family & Mr.Rhoads ended up w/it in the end.

If this exsisted,why would we Know of it????We've never really heard from the Paternal Rhoads family,(well very much at least) To my Knowledge but I believe one of his Step Brothers Posted the pic of Mr.Rhoads Randy & his 2 stepbrothers.
Mabey we'll get lucky & one of them could get it scanned & U/L it???
Mabey Peter & Dakota already got it or who knows.....we'd have to ask someone who was there & would know,or the Rhoads family.Kelle may know?

POLAROIDS DONT HAVE TELEPHOTO LENSES.....So,,iTS HARD TO TELL..

BUT...
Randy enjoyed taking pictures as well... so It may be such a chance that it was HIS camera..
And someone else taking it for him..
