Marshall '1960' a+b cabinets used checkeredcloth from ~1972 up to ~1975 in England and up to ~ 1980 - '80 -'81 in the U.S .
From ~1975 in England they started using the Blackcloth that still remains in use today and around '75-'76 Marshall stopped using the side handles with the metal chrome handle and went to using all black plastic . The 'JCM' series began to appear in the market early 1981 and had a badge in the bottom left corner of the cabinet with " JCM800 LEAD SERIES " , cabinets prior to this did'nt have a badge at all . Randy's cabinets did'nt have a badge , had black handles and used black grill cloth and were bought in England .. so it's safe to say they're regular '1960' from 1979 -'80 stcock and not the 'JCM' series .
