London Marathon

Post by Fozzy41 »

I'm having another go at The London Marathon again this year. Been training since before Christmas and so far it's going well.
Over the months I've been gradually increasing my weekly mileage, now averaging about 45 miles a week.
This morning I did my longest training run so far, 20 miles, felt OK-ish for the first 15 but the last 5 nearly killed me, absolutley shagged, plus I had to stop off in a farmer's field for a shit at about 17 mile, (not a pretty sight) could hardly get going again as my legs seized up. But I finished in the end, thankfully.
The Marathon's on April 13th, 7 weeks today, so hopefully I'll keep up the training and remain injury free, fingers crossed.

Hey Fozz,
I'm pretty much into running right now as well. My average is about 20 miles weekly. I'm still building up and recovering from an old injury since october. Till now it goes fine, feel stronger than ever!
Good luck with the Marathon! 8) It's a long run..... For me doing a Marathon is not healthy anymore. It's just too long for me. 50/60 minutes straight is the limit right now. Enjoy running and stay injury free, that's the most important I guess!
(be sure to use good quality shoes....)

Good Luck Gaz it seems like you are building up for this really well, I don't think I could ever do something this big. I like to do some running but 20 miles would kill me! jessica's sister ran the Stokholm Marathon last year and loved every mile of it.
I think you should re-think your using farmers rields for a shit idea! they don't have any farm land along the route of the London Marathon

Good luck Gaz :D
Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.
