Guess what came in the mail today? (Bob Daisley)

Post by siro_angel »

I woke up with a blurr turned aside and saw mum had placed my letters beside me on my pillows, i rubbed my eyes to open the first letter.. Play workshop notice (letting me know theres a play workshop sometime, if im interested) so it came to the other letter, from sydney.. at first i was like, who do i know who lives in sydney? then it dawned on me, I remember emailing Bob Daisley (dont forget when youre half asleep you're slow lol, well it is in my case) so i opened with caution, first to come out was the stiff card used to keep whats inside straight.. so reached inside for the peice of paper.. my facial reactions went from..

:o *yawn* to  to :D

It was Bob Daisley's autograph signed "To Simon All The Best Mate Bob Daisley!" and stood under it was one of his own plectrums.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Simon

P.S Mods feel free to move it if its in the wrong post, I would have thought with Bob Daisley knowing Randy it suited here.

P.S.S If you want to see a picture, just ask and ill put one up :D

Not exactly the right place yep.
BUT I think Bob is a very cool guy, I feel he really helped Randy to come alive muscially when they put the songs together, it wouldn't be the same without Bob, so Bob definitely deserves some attention here!
I mailed Bob a few years ago and got a reply almost immediately! 8)

Put the picture up! :D

Bob is a class act. I met him when I was 17 outside the old Charlotte Coliseum after the Bark At The Moon show in 1984. I don't recall saying much because I was so nervous but he signed an autograph and seemed to have the time for me had I any questions to ask. :D

He is a huge, huge part of Randy's success and mostly the reason for Ozzy's success. Save a song or two Ozzy has put out "questionable" material since Bob's departure. It is painfully obvious where those lyrics came from.
