This is good news Dave, I am with this gathering the info and checking with others who might have information and proof of Computer interference. So far all the signs are good and we need to chat in a couple of days to sync our info and hook up fully to get this nasty thing resolved and see justice done.

Looks as though anyone that is perceived a threat is hacked and scrutinized. This individual will not just read your PM's. I have been forewarned that even a google account put into your account settings is fair game as well. It is no longer a possibility, it has already happened. If you haven't checked into any of your other e-mail accounts in some time you may discover someone has already logged in for you. Look at the dates of your last entry to see if this is indeed true. I have one report of such an occurance.

I hope Kelly Rhoads can untangle himself from this all as it is tarnishing his own credibility.

Being a fan of Randy Rhoads is not worth this bullshit. So, I'm done with this "community".

I received a nice email from a friend who convinced me not to abandon this place. While I have decided to keep the ties to UR, I feel the need to say something regarding this issue.

I understand feeling violated by what you are claiming has been done, but do you really think anyone's going to get jail time or major fines? You've quoted cases with Sarah Palin - a well known, well-connected politician - and people who accessed student loan records of the president of the United States! Do you really think someone reading PMs on the fan site of a virtually unknown guitar player compares to those cases?

Be offended by these activities, take measures to stop them, but keep in mind this is small potatoes in legal terms.

If you don't want people offended by what you say privately, don't say anything offensive. If you don't want PMs read, don't write them...

i agree with paul...nobody involved in this will ever see a prison cell...its just not that simple...the most a person will get(and it depends on a prior record)is probation..im not discouraging anyone from doing whats right but thats the way the justice system is..

Paul, glad you decided to stay on. No worries, I'm sure many here have not said anything offensive in their PM's, maybe just curious questions, which is all good. Who knows maybe this was just someone trying to get their memory back regarding conversations, for a book ? Like I said, it felt invasive to me, and as I have also stated, I am not a Computer Tech, so I have no idea of what the implications are regarding damage to, or someone being able to go beyond here, and into private emails etc. IMO, I don't believe anyone here would be offended by anything that I have said in PM's, and If you remember even gave mods and admin permission to sift thru them, as that PM did not come from me, and was confused by the whole situation. But, I will faithfully continue on my walnut, and Blueberry regime for sure LOL. I do think at the least, scare tactics should be used, or a swift slap on the wrist to the one who has done this. I like you felt, "well forget this, and that I would never post here again", but started thinking yesterday, there also could be a possibility this person has done this to try and make members here wary of posting or contributing, thus limiting or decreasing members ? Whatever the reason, the perpetrator definitely a candidate for OCD, but I guess all of us here could be diagnosed the same.
RRE: not into Palin either, but find it interesting that some go to the lengths they do. Her case a perfect example, of someone going over the top, and as well this Author, Joe McGinniss, who has now taken up residence next door to her, for the sake of a book. Talk about invasive. Regardless of politics, she is a human like the rest of us who deserves some sense of privacy in her own backyard. I find Joe McGinnis to be a borderline stalker. It's just plain creepy.
MATTXX, you know I thought about what you said regarding KR's name attached to that site. He gave permission for them to use that presentation video, and legally may take awhile for it to be revoked, and pulled off that site. Just a thought !

Must add one thing more, because last night I also remembered how silly I really am,(absolutely laughed at myself) and that is, almost a year ago I started posting here. When I would see someone write "I pm'd you". I had no idea even what a pm was. With all the hoopla about the doc, I kept thinking to myself, Why would someone want to be "Peter Margolised" ? Why do they keep writing that ? It took several times of questioning KG about something on here, for him to say, "Look at your PM's". " I have PM'd you." I thought, what the hell, he has "Peter Margolised me ?" Silly, I know but true. Cheers !

I was the same a few years ago. RRTK was the first site I ever went on and I was scratch my head reading terms like 'LOL' etc until I realised and went "ahh"!! (Eureka moment)

If an old lady's saving account is hacked into and £100 taken; do we say to her at least she didn't lose £1000 or £500000 like 'such and such' a person in the news. I doubt she would find comfort in that.

In other words, if it is a hurtful thing to the person concerned, then it is just as valid in my opinion; despite it's seemingly lesser significance in the big scheme of things.

Paul, I agree that this is small fry in terms of Palin V some odd young fellow but what has been done has contravened US law and this site is an American site. Members had there privacy toyed with and that can't be ignored and if one person has for no good reason violated members here it remains our duty to deal with it.

None of us want to keep something going that should be layed to rest but we didn't create this problem it was brought to us! What is underway now is a way to lay these issues to rest once and for all, I am tired of the vague threats and I am bored with the constant back stabbing that is inficted and I am sick and tired of seeing people get caught up with people who's intention is to drag Randy's legacy into the dust!
These forums are here to promote an individual whos legacy has not been handled that well (in my oppinion) and it is all of our duty to make sure that all of us who value his work make sure that people are not here to exploit Randy for personel gain or here to damage what legacy that he does have.

One thing that makes me proud is that members have ignored the veiled threats it is like removing the publicity that some thrive on, Like terorrist! fear them and they have won but ignore them or laugh at them and they have failed.
One point I would like to address is that it isn't important if in private we are from time to time unpleasent or picky because those remarks relate to specific moments in time and are not really imprtant in the present. What is wrong is to take things from private communications or telephone conversations and make them public, what is so dreadful is the lack of moral fibre and nothing excuses that, infact any attempt to explain this away only compunds how vulgar the actions are.

what we should focus on is that this will be over and all actions that can be taken will be.

I would just like to say that it truly bothers me to see friends of mine like Matt and EA banned from .us, but I can take heart in the fact that I can find them here on UR.

I think that some may have the wrong end of the stick here. It is not the relative size of the crime that counts in a court of law but the breaking of a law. Degree of offending is taken into account during sentencing, completely different matters!

I am confident that even the smallest of e-offending will be taken seriously by a court. By computer forensics it will be looked at this way, if mail has been tampered with in this case what possible other data misuse have occurred. To do that all gear will be taken and examined, yes read that again ALL equipment used or associated with the offender will be confiscated.

Paul, it's true that some celebrities get more attention when they go to court than the normal bloke. Does that mean no one else matters? I sure hope not. I told Ian that I did Legal Depositions for a living years ago. Whether you are video taping a celebrity or taping a homeless man off the street the questions that are asked are identically the same. Whether or not the media covers it is irrelevant. There are a lot of celebrities that I simply cannot watch or listen to on T.V. Celebrities crave attention 24/7. Without it they feel worthless. Most of us can handle life far better than any celebrity. To me, a lot of celebrities act like spoiled children that never grew up. Randy was a celebrity but even he thought it was highly overrated. You see, he grew up. He saw beyond the fame and wanted to give back to his art. I don't identify with Randy as a celebrity. I identify with Randy as a teacher. That is what speaks to me.

About this case... All of us here have at some point decided to keep fighting for Randy. Delores Rhoads continues to fight for the integrity of her son long after his physical presence on this world. Why? She believes in what he stood for; honesty, kindness, and genuineness. All she ever wanted was for the world to see that and recognize that. This year her dream comes true. However, there is a fight going on right now to tarnish that image.

For the members of this site (and others ) it has been tough to focus on where the attack is coming from. We get glimpses of it now and then but it exists under a vail of secrecy and lies. (All of us seek truth in life whether we are aware of it or not, and that is what this case is all about). Hacking into e-mails is the secrecy. Making false accusations about others are the lies. Criminal computer hacking is any act committed by a person with detailed knowledge of computers who uses this information to accomplish acts of terrorism, vandalism, credit and debt card fraud, identity theft, intellectual property theft, and other forms of computer-related crimes. As long as it is allowed to continue uninterupted it will progress into larger, more invasive crimes. Think about it..."If I can hack someone's computer and no one wants to stop me what else can I get away with?" This is not a case based on monetary gains but rather on principle.
