I think in the years that have followed those Sabb demo's coming out and the news of Peters film being made. The O's will have checked through all the archive and will have recorded all they have and checked out what would be of use. I don't believe Randy will even be the sole focus of this, Zakk is a huge star and they will be aware of the value of material he has worked on, they will realise that any of that has a huge market even larger than the captive groups here at UR and at TK.Madman56 wrote:I would be shocked if there isn't at least home video footage of the Diary tour in the Osbourne archives. Like I've said before, the old Sabbath demo stuff they put on The Ozzman Cometh was stuff Ozzy said he didn't even know he had, just kind of stumbled upon it during a move. I'm sure there's all sorts of personal home movies etc that they filmed on the road that we'll probably never get to see, stuff that we would kill to see.

We can look at this in a realistic way and instead of speculating if / when will more footage become available.I can see the fascination of everyone wanting to see some new footage.I collect photos mainly from the 1980 Blizzard tour and i know how rare they are.But every now and then a few do become available. So if unseen stills are available we can only live in hope that some footage is still stored away.I honestly think that if any Live footage from the Diary tour was out there it would of been used on the Tribute 'Crazy Train' video instead of all those still images and the PDV flying along the rail track..Another thought that has crossed my mind was the cost of filming a show.To shoot a whole show back then would of set the tour costs rocketing well out of proportion.Remember the budget was very low in the early days of the Blizzard of Ozz bands carreer. Bernie Torme even said that he never got the said amount which was originaly discussed to get him to do the gig.The small piece of footage seen here of Randy was more then likely a snippet of Osbourne home movie. But it doesn't say that they'll have miles more of unseen film.I'd be very interested to see if the new Docu film does have 'any' unseen footage in this at all.I could imagine that loads of still photos will be shown but we'll see.
Flying dutchman " btw Is that Jake Duncan sitting next to Randy?"

+1 that is almost certainly super 8 or some other 8mm format (too my eyes at least) Its deffineatly not a 35mil cam unless the operator was an idiot.I found these photos and on close inspection these are stills taking from either the same home movie that Randy's on or yet another piece of film
Im intrigued by the colour balance though it almost suggests the images (excluding the first) were shot outside, maybe its just the edges of the frames confusing me

p.s. sorry for being a bore but im facinated by this kinda stuff
