Hah, you guys are hilarious. I appreciate your calm sensible responses instead of flaming me.

Good point about the Wrecking Crew. Many great musicians come and go without much notice, so why is Randy different? That is the question and I'm not sure of the answer. And many weak musicians are remembered well for not doing much at all. So I understand the conundrum.

Randy seemed to have it all. I'm an old guy (49) and was a pimply teenager when Ozzy's new band came out. Randy was immediately astonishing. It may not seem like it now, but at the time Randy was totally fresh and did things unheard of, and did it with emotion creativity and charisma. When he died, me and my teenaged buddies were totally distraught. I saw him twice in concert (both times at the Civic Center in Springfield, MA).

Sorry for my earlier agressive attitude, and thanks again for being cool about it. Even you Paul (AKA: JCL) :)

That'd be nice, huh?
Is that sarcasm or a cry of despair?

I know I'm stating the obvious, but such a little thing could make such a big difference. There are rumours to everything in life, but there is normally also an official body of some kind that everyone looks to to sort the truth from the fibs. We just have rumours.

And I appreciate your accepting my comments without getting angry... it's all good.

Rob, you and I know there isn't much chance of an official site, regardless of how cool it would be. Frank is our ambassador to the Rhoads family, if he thinks there is something we should know, he'll ask permission to tell us... I can live with that.

I don't think you have to be a fan of the Rhoads cult to be a fan of Randy, but each to his own. In fact, I find the reverence of the Rhoads family and that circle of friends creepy. I don't think anyone owes the fans anything (I have said this many times already), but I am allowed to find certain things (e.g. the cult) tacky.

I just like the music.
+1 Alex

Are you still an Ozzy fan if you start ripping Sharon?

Of course, and if there was a site how much news would there be? An update every year most likely! It's not really anyone's god given responsibility to be an ambassador, or take the lead. But it doesn't really change the fact that things are headless. I really don't care much about any news these days, but I can't help but point out the train wreck that only needed a station master :)

If Randy was still with us, there wouldn't be a cult following and most members here would probably not even know who he was.

could it be that things aren't always as they appear? could it possibly be that contracts haven't been met and material from one project stolen to be used in another? if everything was above board and honestly presented, i assure you, the lawyers wouldn't be involved.
