LOL, tell me about it, my status on the order page is still in processing mode, and I guess with the long weekend it won't get done till Tuesday....arrrrggg.

If I go to HMV on Tuesday and see the box set there, I might just shit myself.

Agreed. Sadly, this is typical of the RR community. There's many fantastic folks here, and at .tk, but there's an equal amount of people who have the dreaded "I have something you don't have, and I'm holding it above your head, and don't want to share" affliction. Not to say you need to, or are obligated to share, but some basics would have been appreciated.

Thank you to the folks who have always been forthcoming, and who have shared with all of us in past (and present); I, and many others are eternally grateful. For those of you who don't want to share even basic information - whatever. Enjoy your box set, with the knowledge that you're "special", and can feel that way. Details will emerge anyhow! Enjoy your 15 minutes!

I just get tired of the nonsense that surrounds RR's legacy sometimes....we essentially have what we've all wished for, and people show their true colors when it comes to the info. Nice.

True. Plus i have never seen so much speculation and denial in all my life, like there's now "a whole series of releases coming...", etc. Whatever.....unfortunately this will be on YouTube and torrents alike in a jiffy (but i don't download video..ever), so some can hold out for their 5 minutes.

Well put. I do appreciate those who have been giving of their time and have shared news with us. I do promise that when I get my set, I will be more than happy to post my thoughts and put out a review of it. I am also a member of a Kiss message board and one of the big differences I see between the two boards is how information is shared. Whenever there is a new Kiss release within hours there are pics, video tons of info and it makes it fun, because at the end of the day, isn't this a celebration of Randy and the music we all love? Trust me, if I had the set I would be giving all sorts of info away and sharing it with you all, because I would have felt for those who didn't receive their box. I'd want those of you who didn't get it to share in the excitement along with me. Don't worry, we will all get it soon enough, don't let those that use the power of information get you down.

Just got my boxset-Nice package knew what I was getting and I can honestly say the footage is a let down maybe 1 step up from the old palladium footage :? Better than nothing but not much better quality. if thats the best there is at least the mystery is gone from what a blizzard show was like is gone. But if you like Rudy and Ozzy great footage of them.Nice tribute to RR though.

Agreed. I too like that about the KISS boards. There is none of this "dont open til Xmas" bullcrap that we had here. I do like this board a lot - dont misinterpret this as anything but constructive criticism - but we specualated for years and now we have something new and mums the word. kinda frustrating.

This is pure speculation but maybe the reason know ones sharing is because they are dissapointed with the box set? Maybe, just a guess. I mean we were all excited more so with the new Randy footage, and I think people were hoping there would be a lot of footage of Randy in the video and this isnt the case. I was also very excited about the doc, then finding out its only 42 minutes to cover 2 albums was a let down. I dont think we saw an edited version of the doc on VH1 cuz with the commercials it was about 42 minutes. It would be nice if Vh1 could do there own Classic Album doc, that way they then could include Bob, Lee, and Max and they could do a better representation of the 2 albums. But Im guessing the Osbournes would never let that happen.

I'll tell you whatever you want to know if your set isn't at your door. Very cool set but all the mystery is gone-the tonight fade out is not as long as max said-maybe 15 sec. The footage is mainly Rudy and oz-the solo track smokes and is a off the cuff burning of the fret board- 8) The book is nice barely anything new though, the Ozzy interviews are cool,AH is great quality and when watching the live footage whenever you want to see Randy be prepared to see Tommys bass drum ,Rudy up close Ozzy running to the other side of the stage or the crowd not to mention none of the songs are complete and most of the solos are cut short and if focusing on Randy to FAR AWAY TO SEE WHAT HE PLAYING-that reality of it-still glad to see it.
If folks are not telling whats in the box it's because the big draw of footage is not that great :( Now I'm going to listen to the live disc-that should be smoking!

Thats what i thought. I figured these spoiler threads would be 40 pages by now. I can't wait to pick up the Diary CD this week w/the live CD. That seems like the jewel of the entire set.
I didn't think i'd say this, but i'm not really interested in the "footage" at this point. Quality is far from the "amazing" that initially came out of the Osbourne clan. Also seems as if the updated After Hours video is the thing to have from the video portion of the set.

BINGO!! And I believe we have a winner.. LOL!

I'm glad I waited and didn't order the box. I was so close to preordering, but something in the back of my mind told me to wait. To my way of thinking I've pretty much already have, or can buy the parts that I want of the box set. I'm going to bide my time and get answers to the questions I currently have before I lay down $150.

The Doco: I watched the "30 Years" show on VH1 Classic. DVR'ed in actually. LOVED it overall, but was really disappointed with the audio quality of the Palladium footage that was shown. I think I've read that it's cleaned up or maybe enhanced on the Bonus Footage, but until I get some kind of confirmation on that I can probably live without it. I'm also wondering if VH1 played it in it's entirety because there wasn't anything showing Rudy as was put out on Youtube in the weeks leading up to the release. If it was complete, then I've got that without having to shell out any $$$. If not complete, I'll wait to hear what else is on it before I commit.

Paladium/DOAM Bonus Footage: Again, if the audio quality is as bad as what it sounded like in the Doc, for this kind of monay.. I'll pass. The DOAM footage would be awesome to have just because of what it is, but for me personally that alone is not worth the price of admission for two songs and one camera on the opposite side of the stage from Randy.

After Hours: I've got a really good copy of After Hours on DVD, so that's not a big issue for me.

Vinyl: I don't really need/want the vinyl copies of BOO/DOAM. Never owned them in the first place so they really don't hold any sentimental value for me, as by the time I was getting into Randy cassette tapes were the norm.

Ozzy's Cross: Could give a flying flip. LOL!

BOO/DOAM CD's: Definitely be buying those individually if I don't decide to grab the box.

Coffee Table Book: This is probably the one thing I wish I could get my hands on individually that might be the deciding factor for me to shell out the $$$ for the box IF I can get confirmation on the other stuff I'm concerned about and feel good about dropping that kind of money.

Now, with regard to the Doc. I don't know why people are so shocked that Bob and Lee didn't get any mention, although I'm surprised Max Norman wasn't included. Speaking of Max Norman, I wonder now if he was mistaken about Randy going on and on at the end of Tonight and it was actually Revelation as shown in the Doc?

My local shop (2 blocks from my office) has this in stock for $120. I figured they would, which is why I didnt pre-order. For a number of reasons, even though they physically have it right there, I havent made the purchase. It's killing me. I could walk over right now and have it in my hand at any time.

Ugh.
