Cat's in the Cradle gets to me and John Michael Montgomery's The Little Girl, but never an Ozzy song, and never the actual music of a song. The lyrics, yes, the music, no.

Mr Crowley. On the second solo it's like "Why did God take Randy away"

Songs dont make me cry but at times strong emotional states.
I agree the fading guitar solo in "Tonight" has a desperately sad feeling about it as it fades away but that could be because Randy played it and everyone knows what happened to him.
Although i always liked Tonight the song.
Revelation Mother Earth also is really powerful the piano solo, and Randys guitar parts behind the piano.
I think the middle section in Diary of a Madman for me is really powerful for many reasons.
"A sickened mind and spirit the mirror tells me lies
Could I mistake myself for someone
Who lives behind my eyes?
Will he escape my soul
Or will he live in me?
Is he trying to get out
Or trying to enter me?"
To me what i find more emotional are things like "so tired" on the Bark at the Moon album remember Randy wouldve recorded on this album although the song is not about Randy the feeling that i get from it is exactly that- like life is shit but it must go on now that hes not there anymore and i think they were all still hurting........I find that emotional thinking about Bob being back in the band yet its already been destroyed and become Ozzy Osbourne how Ozzy was still hurting but already trapped by SHaron. Just 1 year or so before it couldve been so different .It mustve been awful and confusing going back into that situation for Bob.

"If I knew then what I know now, I'd have made five albums with them" Ozzy Osbourne
It's regret, i think that really is the worst kind of pain, yeah guilt is bad, and sadness is bad, but regret is the sickly combination of both.
