Thank you so much again everybody, I have now looked into authenticating it here in the UK but that is a minefield in its own right... not sure what to do? If you guys think its fake then it probably is, like you have said you would have seen lots of them on here over the years so your going to see more RR signatures than a "expert"..

A 7" single? After the show on the 2nd of October a 12" EP was released with live versions of Crowley, Suicide Solution and You Said It All.

Yes, I checked through some old press clippings and apparently the 12" was a limited edition. I knew that the 12" came out within a couple of weeks of the Southampton gig but I didn't know that the 7" came out at the same time. I wondered if the disc could have been signed on the 20th as the bloke said, timeline-wise it's looks as if it's possible but whether the signatures are genuine or not is for someone else to answer.

For a reference of one that looks to be legit.

There are things about the OP's sig that look legit. But there are some that really make me question it. You can see the differences.

These are some of the genuine signatures that i have seen. These are all from 1980-81 signed during the UK tours.

Man Ozzy has a horrible way of signing his last name. If it weren't for the "ozzy" in front of it I'd have no clue to what I was looking at.

Based on the pictures provided I'd think the signature was fake based on the lower case "s" in Rhoads and Ozzy's last name. You could argue the capital "R" in Randy is different because of the physical layout of the record. But you never know, these are people and not robots so signatures could vary.

Thank you so much everybody for having a good look at the signatures, for me its the N connecting to D in Randy that does not look right, although in the pictures of the genuine signatures posted a couple join at the base of the N to D like mine??

Here are some more pictures but close ups to show where the pen has been knocked off of flow by the ridges in the vinyl -

murkey ? It's the Ozzy signature that doesn't do it for me. Ozzy didn't start writing his signature like above until later on after 1980-82. I have signed stuff from Ozzy from 1983 onwards...this is when he started to write his Osbourne in his signature. All the one's i've provided are signatures i have owned all bought with good authenticity. I think the single has been signed by Ozzy possibly after 1980 and he has added the Rhoads signature to give it value. Plus the record not being in a cover doesn't do it for me. If it was signed back in 1980 you would look after it and keep it in good condition. This has been put together to make money plain and simple.

So you think the Randy signature is legit?

Well the seller has mentioned he got this signed at the Bristol Colston hall in 1980 if the guy has faked the Ozzy signature without knowing what his signature looked like in 1980-81 what does that tell you ?. If the Ozzy signature is forged i'm sure the RR signature will be the same.
